"What'll it be? I got everything from ye old classic grilled burger with cheese to turkey burgers to tofu on a bun"

"Tofu on a bun?" She sounds intrigued, if maybe slightly dubious.

"Is it deep fried?"

"Tofu Burger... tastes like beef...ish" he says

"Can be" He offers with a grin

She grins. "You're reading my mind. Why get fast food from a truck and then stop halfway? Adam, you gonna let me treat ya, or do you have your Male Dignity on today?" Smiling, her wallet already in hand.

"Girl, it's all about my Male Dignity." He pulls cash out.

"What'll it be for you,?" The guy grins. They notice he's enchanted.

"Hey...."

"We got your vegan option like the lady there, and we got beef, geniune americano bull"

She rubs an eye a little as she notices the sparkle to the vendor, and grins to him, reaching up to flick a stray curl out of the way over one horn. "As long as it's not goat, am I right? And I'll take the vegan option, but toss some cheese and jalapenos on that, if you have 'em?"

"Do I have em? Wouldn't leave home without em, pretty lady" A grin "And I hear you... no goat.. that's PANDemonium that"

A laugh! "Oh, that's baaaaaa-aaaad" She gives it a little bray for a joke. "Glad to see there's a bit of sparkle here in Tijuana, other than the ocean waves. Which I haven't even seen yet. There sure are some pretty murals around here. Do you happen to know the artists?"

"Not as well as some... but a few. Locals here make due with what they got which ain't always a lot. Couple of folks close to kin to you I imagine"

"I've found that if you look around hard enough, you can generally find a friend or a cousin most anywhere you look."

"You wouldn't think so right? but it happens. " A grin "Pardon the guy with the hillbilly drawl asking, but you two ain't from around here are you?"

"I'm from aways North up along the coast, but my boo here is a Jersey devil. At least, we both live out that ways now, it's all oak trees and forest instead of sand and palms as is rightly proper."

"Iife is a continuing string of trade offs. But hey, makes the visit here all the more special right?"

She beams at him. "It's been pretty great so far."

"Well, you might not be impressed with the AMOUNT of beach here compared to Cali cities, but there's sand to put between your to..." He looks down at her hooves "Well, you know what I mean?" A grin

"Ok, so... my girl needs some ocean water, right? What's the best way to get her there?"

"Well..." Assuming Adam orders a burger for himself , the guy gives directions "Now some folks will offer you a ride, but you have to be careful.." More instructions as it is twenty miles away "Best bet is call in Corazón de caballero. It's new, but just for those 'in the know'" A wink, "Need the number?"

"Yeah, sure, wouldn't hurt...."

The number is given. "Enjoy your burgers"

Adam takes the number. "Thanks!"

When the call is made, a voice says something in Spanish and the 'press 2 for Ingless'

He hits 2

A voice answers "You've reached Knight's Heart Rides... dross or Cash accepted.. American or Mexican currency"

BIG eyes... he hangs up.

"What?" She asks. "No answer? Are the cabs out of service?"

"No, just.... Knight's Heart.... here?"

"I mean, Knight's Heart's rides here."

"Well, you are here, so maybe you brought it with you. " She jokes. "Here, let me try." And dials up the app on her own phone.

Tapping at the phone. "Maybe I don't get signal here?"

She gets signal.

"Here goes nothing..." And she puts in the request

A voice answers "You've reached Knight's Heart Rides... dross or Cash accepted.. American or Mexican currency"

"Yes, I'm looking for a ride for two from..." She glances up and gives the nearest intersection. "To Tijuana beach. Just over to the shore, someplace where we can swim."

"Happy to do it, know just the place. I can be there in... 6 to 8 minutes."

"Gracias!" A grin, tapping the phone off. "See, now we just sit back and see who shows up. Maybe Sally Mae is expanding for you..."
