Salma places a booted foot onto an edge of a trellis placed for roses and ivy that have not yet had time to grow. "There was the boy who climbed up here, when the purse thief visited. But I am too... " She searches for the word, and says, "Burra do NOT climb. Only trails!"

"But gatitos might climb, if she thinks she is brave enough?" Worriedly looking up.

From Dagmar's angle on the floor she notices under the furniture...someone has set down a laundry basket

"Isn't she too small to climb?" Ellie fusses at Salma.

Hmm. Dagmar pulls the basket closer for inspection.

"She is little yet fierce, like you. Maybe no one told her she is too small."

"She can't be lost, she's my favorite!"

Dirty... someone was collecting dirty clothes when this started

But no kitten IN it

Dagmar pokes around the clothing, checking pockets..

"She's too small to climb, she ain't even quite a full month yet " Ariel says "I think. I mean, might be a month"

Elias Hazard looks to Jessica "Ah.. I feel like I'm in the way.. but if you want I can play music that ANNOYS cats and see if I can furking herd them? I can adjust the frequency on my electric harp... calibrate the stringomatics?"

Dagmar looks up. "Was this the only basket of laundry being collected?"

One boggan, a Maria "No. We try to do big loads together... why?"

"Kittens like clothing. Maybe she got scooped up by accident in another basket?"

"But all the other baskets are loaded in the ... oh no" Maria says "The washing machine..."

"Did you start it yet?" Dagmar stands.

"I don't remmeber' the normally in control boggan has a mental image of the worst

"Ellie, take a look at the flowers. Elias, there are other cats that would be.... oh crap." Jessica starts for the laundry area. Briskly.

Ellie seeks one of the green flowers.

Elias says to Dagmar in a low voice "Hope it hasn't been started or we got kitten soup"

Ellie's panic is distracted whiel she looks at the flowers. Thank goodness

Jessica heads to the laundry, and it has NOT been started yet. There is , in the big old washer of the old spa... a rather pathetic soft muffled sound . Trolls are pretty alert... so she hears a sad tired 'mrrrowww???'

"Please, little rose, did you see the kitten?"

Jessica FINDS THE KITTEN, digging through the laundry to look.....

And there is the little one tired, and with a detergiant coated tail

The tabby looks pathetic. Can she go back to mom? Please? She'll be good and never ever nose around again where she's not wanted. She'll be good and stay close to mom forever.

(Narrator voice: The promise would last 13 hours tops)

Indeed, Mamacita is RIGHT under Jessica now.. panther pacing!

"Sshhh.... " Jessica soothes the little one, and takes a moment to clean the tabby from detergent before stooping to place her gently in front of Marion.

Ellie gets no response... but a sense of relief spreads through the hold! And she knows, KNOWS the ktten has been found

"Oh, thank goodness!" Ellie sighs with relief.

"FOUND HER!" Jessica calls to the rest.

Elias Hazard breaks out his electronic harp and begins to play 'What's new Pussycat?'

Ellie seeks out and hugs her friends. "Jessica found her!"

Phobos says "In truth, a lot of credit goes to...." He clears his throat "Dame Dagmar King... the Hammerstrike! Deducer of Kitten Paths!"

His voice echoes with polish. He's goood at volume, and his herald voice is improviing

Salma near collapses in relief.

Dagmar blinks. "Um, thanks, Sir Phobos?"

Ariel is singing along with Elias "Pussycat Pussy cat, I love you!"

Jessica watches Marion fuss over and clean her tabby baby.

Ellie coos, soothing Salma.

Marion is indeed fussing, comforting the little tabby with a good cleaning... and she will give her a stern talking to later...

PHobos says "don't mention it... " He says in a lower voice "I don't like it when I get overlooked. Maybey ou're more modest but announcements are what I do. "

Some stress goes out of Jessica. Perhaps she's grown more attached to the cats than she lets others know? Or maybe it's just that the childlings are at last no longer in a full blown panic?

"Yeah? We don't have a herald at home, so... bit less formal, y'know?"

"Why not? You should get one. We're useful" He assures

"Dunno. Chief might not like it."

"Mm maybe not..." he ponders "Trolls can be kind of quiet. No offense"

Jessica follows Marion, who carries the kitten firmly back to the nest.
