"Uh-huh. He came through the door. It's a trod."

She nods. "I know."

"Oh. " Ariel says "Okay. So..why was Demos so ..growly?"

"He's always like that." Absently, thinking.

"He should say please instead of shouting."

"He's a redcap, Ellie, and invaluable here."

"He was scary, and that wasn't nice." Defensive.

"Invaluable if your currency is growls and threats." She whispers, still down in a curtsy.

"Good heavens, Selma, please get up."

She straightens. "Si, Condesa."

"Redcaps are scary; that is the nature of the stuff they were Dreamed of."

"He was still rude and he used bad words."

"Some of which I still need to translate for Princesca." She adds.

"But I am not sure if I should."

"A few I got the gist of" Ariel assures their pooka friend

"If he made himself understood, that's enough." Dryly. "Did Jack say why he was here?"

"It can be our lesson on manana."

"He came to visit?"

"I think just because..."

"Just.... because?"

"He plans to scout the grounds and operate a coup, Condesa. Though he is only this high, so you are safe from the knees up."

"Well, I think so? He liked the kittens very much."

"Who wouldn't like the kittens?" Ariel says "They're starting to move around more. One keeps making Mamacita Marion come fetch her"

"I know the feeling." Muttered.

"So.. he watched the kittens, and we had lunch, and he went home?"

Jessica nods. "Ok. Thank you, ladies. I was just worried at first that something was wrong at Rivervale."

"CAN we visit Rivervale?"

"They have honeycakes." She adds.

"mmm Honeycakes"

Jessica looks momentarily uncomfortable. "Um. Maybe. We're going to be pretty busy, Ellie."

"Oh, right. Duties." Resigned.

Pause. "Could Ariel and Salma visit?"

"I'll find out." Jessica promises.

She reaches out and takes Ellie's hand. "I do not wish to go. The churros here are better than anything they could have."

"Doesn't seem fair if Ellie can't visit and we do" Ariel crosses her arms

"Ladies, I will try to find out when we can -all- visit, ok?"

"Ariel, it's okay..."

"Ariel, Selma... Ellie is going to need you on the Tour."

"Oh!" She smiles.

She nods in understanding. "my place is with my Princesca. If we do not braid her hair, she will have birds nesting in it and she is so kind hearted, she will not tell them to go, and we will have to wait until eggs hatch for her to wear a hat."

"And in this sun, that could be dangerous." Jessica nods.

Blink. Giggle!

"Okay... OH I get to..." Ariel Gushes "Okay!"

"You'll be my entourage. So very grand!"

A nod, encouraging.

Ariel looks at Salma "Can I braid her hair sometime too? it's really great hair"

"We should try braiding each other's hair. You both have such nice hair too! Black and red are very pretty!"

"Oh mine's just a nest of red" A blush
