"PErhaps THEIR ruler.. at least a local one" He ponders

"Eleanor, do you think if we had an artist come to sit with you... or the other girls.... you could help us get a picture of the coin?"

"I think so... Salma sometimes is hard to translate, but she's smart."

"THe Mer are evaluating, getting a feel for us. If Ididn't know better I'd swear they were thinking invasion"

"There's more." Quietly.

She tells them about Jeff Culpepper and Azlo (sp?).

Tidemarch shrugs "This fascination with the Nunnehi confuses me, Countess. I do not think they will ever want peace, but we abide by your laws of restraint. "

"Good." She nods.

"The Nunnehi are not someone to ignore" Mitra says to the Baron "THe Pitt has proven that we are making progress"

"I admit, the fact that it's the Pitt makes me nervous; the violence of it. I think I have come to understand that is a part of their way.... but."

"THey join you in fights, learn hwo YOU fight, and leave? Progress?" He pauses "I am doubtful

"Would not the Dark Kin be an enemy to the Nunnehi as well?"

"A question I wish to have an answer for, Eleanor."

Vaeltilde says "The Dark is an enemy to all who are not OF the dark"

"Exactly."

The Aesin looks at the Beaumayn, never the most trusted of Houses, but nods at this.

A firm nod back.

"So we have Mer and Nunnehi; by sea and by land."

"And Dark Kin in the city."

Jessica thinks.

"Well.... look, Mer and Nunnehi, maybe a good thing, maybe not, but Thallian are a definite 'not'. So, I want a unified front on this. Each in their own fief, but I want these Dark Kin rooted out and destroyed. Does everyone have what they need to make this happen?"

"Some Dark Kin, not Thallian, the Adhene, are rumored to no longer serve the Fomori..." Mitra says "We could perhaps sow some dissention in their ranks"

Ellie's little brow furrows.

"Get involved in Dark Kin politics?" dubious.

"We should slay them."

"I'm saying find.." A startled look at the younger Countess comment "not all of them are pro Fomorian... find the ones who might want freedom from their old masters in exchange for battling their old allies."

Baroness Vaeltilde scowls "It's safer to slay them"

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Murmured.

A nod of respect back at the Aesin.

Sayda does not look as convinced as the two sidhe girls but she doesn't want to speak out against two possible friends.

Mitra nods "It's just a thought"

"There are probably some kithain who serve the Fomori, so it is important to remember who the enemy is."

"Everyone, let me be clear; if you have such traitors in your fiefs, take care of them or risk being counted among them."

Sayda blinks "If..we don't get them food and water and tend to their wounds... we might get counted among them? I don't understand."

"If there are kithain who serve the Fomori." Jessica clarifies.

"So... if there are kithain who serve the fomori.. .you want us to take care of them.... like give them food and drink and tend their wounds? That doesn't sound right" Sayda says

"Different sort of 'Take care of' I suspect, Sayda" Mitra says then looks to Jessica "English isn't her first languge, your Excellency"

"I'm sorry. I meant, they should be managed; made threatless. It might be they can be turned, but in any case, they will not be allowed to be a threat here."

"OH," Sayda says "Kick their asses and take them prisoner, Si! We can do that!"

Mitra covers a smile

Ellie hides a giggle.

"There we go." She nods, language barrier resolved.

Sayda blushes "Thank you for explaining"

"My mistake for forgetting, Sayda."

"Your english is still very good. Much better than my Spanish!"

"I had help learning, lots." A nod

"Spanish isn't too hard, but sometimes I forget the adjective come after the noun.. though not always?" The Aesin says
