"Uh-huh."

"What's Brightplume?"

"Who.. he was an arrogant knight drummed out of the Redbranch by two recent arrivals..."

"Our bonded pair?" Dryly.

"It sure seems so..they discovered he was selling secrets of the king for favors and the like . A smug snake according to stories. "

"Snake??"

"Not a Balor.. just a figure of speech" She says

"Is something wrong with these boys?" Maria asks, then glances at Jessica's tray "or your food?"

"Oh, um...." Jessica takes a bite. "It's good."

She swallows. "Just, um, just wondering about them. You know, visitors. Good to have.... information."

Sometimes Maria and Rosa seem to forget Jessica speaks Spanish ("She's a wonderful girl, but, well, sometimes God has plans for the special ones')

"Girls" Maria looks to the Childlings "You want cinamon rolls?"

Ariel looks at ELLIE, then says "YES"

"So why would they be -here-?"

"Maybe they like Beltaine in Mexico?" Maria says

"I'll find out," Mitra says

"Oh, also, the Sir Gelach? He like your style. " Rosa ads to Jessica

"De Nada!" the boggans beam as the girls do their spanish

Eleanor uses fork-and-knife to eat her roll... with some envy as Ariel is able to dive in.

She does cut out a wedge of roll to save for later.

And Jessica gets an answer after an agonizing pause "I hear him in hallway. he says you don't yak yak like too many rulers"

Jessica.... goes a light lavender. "Must not have spent much time around trolls."

"Yes, you are VERY Quiet girl" A nod "Your excellency"

"YUP. Sometimes Clem just stares at the farm kind of lost and happy I think? But she doesn't talk" Ariel says with her mouth half full

Jessica nods. "The farm is prosperous, the people there happy, or at least content. She has every right to be pleased."

"She could SAY she's pleased more," Ariel says

Ellie pauses, looking at something or nothing... rather like when a cat is getting signals from their home planet.

"Some folks need to hear it, I suppose." Jessica allows. "Other folks can see for themselves, make their own observations."

Ariel says "Maybe..but it's so boring sometimes" THen she says "Um. sorry"

Mitra stares at the little Beaumayn tuning into whatever and sighs If I could get a crack at what goes on in their little skulls and just copy it...

Then... blink-blink... back to cinnamon roll!

"mm? Oh ..nice actually... big battle to show the Oak king triumping over the Holly Tyrant... and luchador masks"

Ariel pokes her friend "We should probably leave the adults to their stuff."

and she whispers "before they tell us they're handling it all and order us to leave it alone"

"Smart." She gathers up her saved section of cinnamon roll to hand off to Salma.
