"I should see our guest."

Diego nods "Good fortune to you, Jessica"

"Thank you."

"You ok Ellie?"

"Mmm.."

"I think they'll be fine, Flame Free. I'll lead them off.. on, anywhere else in the hold to play and you tend to your guest" Ash says

Jessica nods thanks to Ash, smiles to the girls, and heads in to meet their guest.

Ellie clings to Ash's hand, now.

"Now, Ariel... Ellie, " Ash says "I've got a treat for you both.." A she leads them off

And Jessica finds a confused man.... sitting with Mitra nearby and Longfeather as well.

"My life," the man says "Sucks. Speaking of which. how am I alive"

"Hello." Jessica says as she enters and approaches to sit. "I'm Jessica King. You're known as Jeff Culpepper. This is Mitra, and John."

"We found you before they killed you. -Why- were they trying to kill you?"

"I think because I was coming to see you, if you're the Flamefree." He says

"I am called so."

"Why would someone, or someones, try to kill you for coming to see me?"

"Because of what I'm told i am... I am, a bridge or soemthing like that.. many names for it... I'm born of a dreams of interaction, of connecting worlds, for good or ill... I didn't know exactly what I was or my purpose, but a seer told me that ... I should come to the flame free where an olive branch was offered during a time of war"

Jessica nods. "I have been looking for you, or someone like you, for a few years now."

John looks at Jeff "This is.. so you can learn about yourself as much as help? I mean, by helping her.. you help yourself?"

"Yes, and yes."

"That can work for me." Jessica agrees. "I didn't know Fae like you existed. I don't know why anyone would want to kill you for being what and who you are."

"I'm not sure myself" He admits "But they want me extinct or they'd just have used regular weapons and not cold iron" Jeff says "I hurt.. all over"

Jessica smiles wryly. "You looked a lot worse when we found you." She assures him.

"And, you are welcome here until you are feeling better." More gently.

"Obliged" Jeff says "But truthfully? I almost want to make this peace thing happen just to cheese whoever tried to kill me off"

"I'd like to know who it was. You don't have any idea? You were waking down the street and four or five guys jumped you out of no where with cold iron?"

"Never saw them before in my life, but they knew me. In England I stand out..at least in parts of it. Here I thought..well, you know Native blood varies but Latinos useally have al ot more OF it" Jeff says

"He's right" Mitra observes

"Someone knew who was as soon as he arrived," Mitrasays "That means ..someone in England ratted on him"

"So you did come here from England." Jessica nods. "Who in England gives a damn about Renaissance?" Baffled.

"No one... but a Seer did a reading and you're the only one who matched the.niche"

"A Seer in England?"

She rubs the base of her horns. "Maybe you should start at the beginning. Maria, could you ask Constance to join us? Again?"

"Si, I tell her Cappuleh oh, pardon, Countess" A blush and she heads off

(Elsewhere, poor Dame Ash is being introduced to ALL of the princess dolls...)

"Cappuleh still suits me." Muttered. "Jeff.... do you go by Jeff?"

"Used to go by Joffry but that little brat on that show ruined the name"

"My sympathies." Murmured "Let's start just before the beginning, please.

Constance shows up, dressed rather nicely... and book in hand ready to write notes

"Thank you, Constance, sorry for the back and forth. Have a seat, Jeff was just getting started."

And Jeff gives his story "My father was English, my mother a Native American..." and he relates ... an odd tale of his awakening one time visiting a reservation and folks acting with confusion as he was not of their tribe but ..of a tribe ... and then he was seen as a dangerous omen by someone...

...and the stoyr unfolds "So I fled again... and went to England....and there I consulted a Seer..."

And finishes up "And then I came hree ..only to get assaulted ..and the rest you know"

Jessica checks to see if Constance has it all.

SHe writes it down and nods "I have it. Anything else, Jessica?"

"I don't think so." She turns to Jeff. "As I said, you're welcome here. I've been hoping to find someone with your skills and abilities for a few years. Right now, I think you should rest up and get on your feet. Eat, drink, rest. When you're ready, we'll talk about next steps, if that's ok?"

"If there's NOTHING else I will go" Constance says

Jeff nods "I think.. that's best. Even now I worry I ramble"

And Constance straightens her hair and retreats

Jessica frowns slightly, shakes her head. "Meanwhile, Jeff, is there anything you need? Or want?"
