"They had to send me away, that's what Gerald said. I wasn't safe."

"Yes," The elder Beaumayn says "There are dangers here, but it is safer than where you were I think." A look to Jessica, "Countess Jessica, has she been granted haven here ? If not, I'd request it. Shes' of my House."

Jessica nods. "Granted."

The Lady Knight looks to the Childling, "Ellie, you have haven." A tone of 'and what do we say?' in the voice.

"Thank you, Countess Jessica."

Rosa and Maria begin talking in Spanish .. Jessica can tell they're talking of where to place the girl, opening up one of the big rooms maybe.

"Very welcome. May I call you Ellie? Most people call me Jessica."

"You're a Countess, so that should be okay. But in Court I have to be Eleanor."

"Of course." Jessica agrees.

"Dame Ash, is there anyone who should be made aware of Ellie's presence here?"

"Well, she should be aware of Demos and Phobos, they can be a bit intimdiating as redcaps." She says 'But no harm in letting the word go out to most who live here. Less chance of confusion?" A thoughtful look "Maybe some protection if she requests it."

"I am supposed to have a Warden."

A nod. "We can let people know." She agrees. "Will you be her, um, Warden? Is that a House thing?"

"Pro Tem, I suppose. I have trained childings before, though rarely of such esteemed title," She nods then looks at Ellie "I shall take up this task, but it maybe you'll have others assisting me. Jessica may be rather casual in some ceremonies, but she is a good ruler and often very busy so she needs my help too."

"I'm sained."

"...And thank you, Dame Ash."

"You're welcome, Ellie." She says , "And I see you have fine manners."

"Manners are the jewel in the crown of nobility."

Lady Knight Ash looks over at Rosa and Maria "Is there a room you've settled on for her?"

"Oh si, we have a place"

"Ellie, as you may have guessed, Tijuana can be a dangerous place. Please be aware of it."

"Everywhere is dangerous, Gerald says."

"Gerald was not far wrong... but don't leave the hold without me, please," lady knight ash says

Jessica nods agreement with this.

"Yes Dame."

"This way, we show you, " Maria smiles and Rosa talk excitedly in Spanish which she.. doesn't speak.

As they guide her to her room

"¿La condesa tiene un heredero? Que interesante," Rosa says to Maria quietly.

"No lo hagas mal, Rosa" Maria says quietly as they guide the young Beaumayn on

"I don't speak spanish, sorry..."

"It's pretty!"

Jessica, in the Balefire room, turns to Constance. "Can you draft a letter to the Duke? Let him know about our guest?"

"Oh, such a nice girl, don't worry, we can help you learn if you want..." And out they go

And Constance says "Promptly. Would you like to dictate, Jessica, or just have me cover the basics? "

The boggans, at least, are rewarded by a very enthusiastic little girl who explores every inch of the princess explosion!

"Just cover the basics, if you would? I want to check with Dame Ash, make sure we're not stepping on any protocols."

"Of course," Constance says "But this is your hold. You set the protocal. "

And yes..elsewhere... a young countess is wowed by soft bed, and purple lace.

"Still, best to get her perspective."

Diego comes in "Jessica? what's this about a sidhe child?"

Jessica explains. ".... haven until we figure out where she's supposed to be."

"I see. " Diego nods "How long do you think that will be?"

"I don't know. Diego, she's a frightened little girl."

"She's born and bred to the noblity, and that can have ramifcations" He frowns "I don't know if I can help her see a more modernist way"

"I don't know if you need to." Wryly "Maybe let her breathe for a minute?"

"As you say, Jessica," he sighs "I just... feeling like a failure in my efforts of late. I don't blame you. If I had been more persuasive, a better speaker than I thought I was.. .maybe my revolution would have taken seed when the time was right. Now? I fear not."

"Sorry about that Diego.... but seeing as how you'd be rebelling against -me- now, I'm kind of not-sorry either."

"You're an honest woman" he says with a chuckle "Which puts you over most nobles in my view. But mark me" More seriously "People will think this childling's arrival has deeper meaning. You will want to prepare one way ,or another"
