Soon, an offering of clothing comes out... some vibrant colors, some more sedate. The boggans seem excited to be providing for another childling, and a lady of the court at that. They seem to want to press for dresses

Jessica keeps out of the way for this one.

The Countess wants pants.

Oh but she would look so LOVELY in a dress? Si?

Maybe a dress with pants UNDER?

...like Elsa?

There is some agreement that perhaps that's only fair...

and it is Nancy who mentions that if there is pants under, then the dress can have a kind of slit or something "So she can run..." A pause "Or fight"

And soon, the boggans return with options for just that.. including one combo where the dress can detacth entire ly in case of a fight. Though the women tut over the idea of this little girl having to fight 'So sad .. so young and having to carry a sword"

Well, the little she-cat seems to approve. Doubly so if it's purple!

Jessica observes quietly.

If they didn't, they get it in less than an hour. Boggans...

And it appears her willingness to compromise has earned points with the boggans.

Jessica, since she is observing, gets a look at the sword in question. There is a phoenix design as part of it, as in the mythical bird.

Oh, she MIGHT just twirl in front a mirror...

Sidhe or not, old soul in a young body or not, she is a kid...and okay, the twirl looks pretty.. or if one prefers, likee a whirling tigress ready to bear her claws

only in purple.

A faint frown.

But, she waits until the new Countess is dressed and fed.

The child is ravenous - she does remember her manners, though her attitude is very much that of young mistress to servant. AT least she remembers to say please and thank you?

She does, and the food is good! Mind you, very Cali Mex but GOOD.

Jessica has the meal served in the Balefire's room; coincidentally, the same room holds a rather significant chair.

The Balefire helps, it wasn't that long ago her mien had been entirely subsumed.

And more is provided. The Bale emmanations seem fond, but almost.. shy?

Jessica observes this with.... quiet concern.

Churros are a novelty and a surprise win!

And it is Constance, Scribe of the Court, who comes to Jessica with notes ready. The troll woman is quiet and scribbles, but says "Countess, is there something I can do to assist?"

"I don't know. What do you have there?"

"A book, ready to write down the events, I've started a bit thanks to details fathered from others on the raid. your deeds are being recorded as always. Quite commendable. But I can also work with Flex and Specs to see what I can gather on house Beaumayn, though with Dame Aishline.. Ash, of that House here.. I suppose that's not needed."

Churros are quite the find indeed. "You like?" Rosa smiles

"I've never had these! These are wonderful!"

"Well, We are glad you like. The Freeflame, she also enjoys them. Now, don't forget your corn and peas"

"Countess Violet..... will you tell us something about yourself?"

A very seven-year-old huff. But... she dutifully eats them.

"Eleanour Hyacinthe de Violette. Violette is my last name, it means purple, not the flower, but I like the flower too."

Purple eyes fix on Jessica. "You're a Countess too? What House?"

Constance writes notes.

Jessica nods. "I am. I am not a member of any House, though."

A puzzled blink. "How does that work?"

"Carefully." She acknowledges. "And respectfully."

"I've never heard of anything like that."

...sayeth the seven year old.

"The previous 'Holder was Balor. I, um, defeated her in battle and took the Freehold. I've been encouraged to take a House but.... as I said honestly then, and say now, I don't feel called to any House and I wouldn't disrespect any House by taking membership where I didn't feel a sincere call to it."
