Jessica finds herself getting reports of other sorts. Sir Jack ap Liam, scruffy street knight is filling her in on, well, the streets "It's the weirdest thing. Suddenly the dreams are shifting... folks aren't wanting to go to America right now, in fact there are jokes about building a wall to keep the Americanos out. Of course, under those jokes there is real fear. Nightmares are on the rise"

She swallows and nods. "Do we need to increase patrols?"

"I think so.. but it's your call. Problem is do you want fewer but stronger patrols that have a better chance of winning because it has more muscle and swords, or more scattered that have a better chance of finding, but won't likley win if they engage?"

"No sense in looking for fights we will lose people on. Larger, stronger patrols."

A nod "I'll get the word out. WIth the right patterns on the patrols we should make up for the lack of extension. Permission to organize that on your behalf?"

"Granted."

He gives a bow, quick and casual... not out of disrespect, he's like that even with the Duke. And heads off.

"Thank you, Sir." Sincerely.

Jessica takes a deep breath and re-reads the reports.

Some nasty nightmare on the records indeed. Some having raven forms for some reason, others fuzzy spikey balls, parodies of what's shown on the news for the science part.

And then a voice speaks up, a familiar one, "Keeping busy, My liege and friend?" Mitra has come to visit!

A bright smile, involuntary but real. "Dame." She rises and goes to greet the Eiluned.

"It's good to see you again, Countess," A smile on the Eiluned's face, "I came with a report on the pitt and so forth."

"How bad is it?" Turning serious.

"Oh, the Pitt is frustrated. Even here in Tijuana, folks are starting to social distance, crowds are thinner ...which is good, but it does mean the Pitt doesn't get it's mortal audience. "

"Not as many dreamers" She adds

"Yes, I see that." A frown. "How is the 'Fire?"

"Strong enough, we feed it glamour from some of the chimera we've fought. "

A nod. "Good. Abuelita is strong?"

"She's amazing. Someone tried to make a move to threaten the heir. She devoured him and spat his mortal comatose form out."

Jessica clearly would have liked to know about that when it happened, but she holds her peace. "Good."

"Shard has proven to be useful as well, even with thinning crowds he remains a potent muse. We have had an influx of Unseelie but that's not unusual. We also captured a most unusual chimera."

"I'm glad to hear you have the help you need. What kind of chimera?"

"Would you like me to bring it in?" She asks

"Or I can go to you." She puts the reports down with a sigh. "I should make a small patrol, anyway."

"Well, the reason I offer is, it's they have it in the hallway ready to bring in"

"Oh. Well then.... ok. Bring it in."

And they do, it's.... Jessica. No, not Jessica, Jessica would admit she is not THIS attractive in face and form...and yet, for all her beauty, there is something horrifying about this duplicate, for over one breast there is a gaping hole where her heart has been dug out.

WIDE EYES. "What the....."

She is dressed in a blood drenched white robe and moves placidly. She has no maul, no weapon.

"You can understand why I captured it rather than letting folks see her wandering around too casually?" Mitra says "She appears to be a dream of..well, you. But the signs of sacrifice in the old ways are there."

Jessica swallows hard. "Um."

"We need to talk to your Nunnehi about this, because I don't like what it might represent" Her eyes narrow

Jessica was just getting to those thoughts herself.

She squares her shoulders.

"I used Chronos on her... she's about 3 days old. I didn't get a look on who sculpted her" She continues "But when the masked figure carved out her heart... her creator I guess? It seemed pretty old school"

She nods and asks for John to be invited to join them.

John shows up , dressed in semi traditional garb, he bows "You called for me" He says, and he doesn't call her Chief . He did once. She asked him not too. It's just..weird. She kept looking for her mom

Jessica nods and indicates the creepy-assed Chimera.

A low whistle "Wow" he says surprised

Mitra blinks "WOW? This is it? WOW?"

"Well, it is definitely worthy of a wow, in my defense" he looks the Chimera over, "Let me guess? She put up no fight, placid?"

"YEah," Mitra says "Like a lamb" Wryly

"You -saw- the, um, sacrifice?"

Mitra says "By Choronos, a backward glance I did, but it was a terrible angle, and whoever did it wore this mask"

"What did the mask look like?" John asks

"Kind of Vulture like actually" She says with a face

"that could be good" he says

"Right, right." It might be the usually stoic troll is rattled.

"GOod? how could it be good? " Mitra demands
