"You would see us as equals, but equal what? Our ways are not the ways of knights and queens. This feudal system is..different in many ways. Equal under this, means we are free to be 'just like you' or so some of my people will say"

Jessica nods. "Not -all- of Concordian Fae agree with the system we use." She reveals. "I am willing to talk of a system that works for us here."

"This is good to know."

"I am responsible to those I must answer too. They have been very generous and understanding of my desire to.... do things differently. I must respect them in return. In so far as I can, I am willing to talk of what will work between us in this place."

"Will you accept one or two of our warriors among you? Others will consider them spies."

Jessica considers the idea gravely. "I would like to. I must speak with my people first. Would you consider an exchange?"

"You have one that would walk among us willingly?" Startled

Jessica chuckles. "I am not sure."

"I would."

"But who would rule your 'hold'?"

"Do your people not have succession? Someone to step in should the leader need to be elsewhere?"

"A right hand so to speak?"

"A right, a left, more.... an octopus. Um. Pulpo?" She uses the Spanish word if needed.

A laugh "many hands. Yes. we know of this. it varies from our tribe to tribe but is not unheard of"

She nods. "So yes. I would if I can. And I would like to ask others." A faint smile and she looks away.

"If you find one willing to go, or arrange to go yourself, we would agree. I could protect that one if the ones sent were protected in return"

Jessica nods. "Of course. Can I suggest something?"

"Please, this is hardly a rapport if only one talks" He nods waiting.

She nods. "Thank you. I recommend a period of education -before- we exchange people."

"In which areas do you think is most crucial, this education?"

"Customs and courtesies. History, heritage. Culture."

"Language."

"And who would teach? Or would that not lead into an exchange anyway?"

"Without this background, I am concerned that insult could be inadvertently taken. I think each group should choose their teachers, and meet in common, sacred ground. Perhaps a trade in this, yes. I would offer my own place for the first meeting. Your teachers would be respected diplomats."

"Inviolate."

"We could also perhaps try writing out what we wish for our people to learn first, to help broach the ideas?"

"This is expanding, but then ,that is the nature of circles - to grow or shrink depending how you fill them."

"We are collaborating." She agrees.

"I think you and I are in agreement . I will bring it before others and see if visits are welcome. They may offer another location, but we shall see."

"Another location could be acceptable. We all want to feel safe, right?"

"I just thought I could make the first offer."

"The first to cross a chasm has courage" Rainspeaker nods. "I commend yours. I will bring this and more to them. Here... some may doubt you have made progress.. I offer you something as proof to them."

"Thank you." A pause. "I am trying to help move the refugees to places of safety. How do your people feel about this?"

"Scared." Rainspeaker says

"Why? Can I help?"

"Some of them maybe us, you see... we do not have many left. We do not know how strong they will be away from the land of their forefathers." He pulls off his mask and under it a face that is only slightly less serpentine.

"Will you tell me of your people?"

And he hands the mask to her, it glows with a glamour she is not used to.

She takes it.

"Proof, that you spoke to me." he says "And there is some I can teach you now... but not too much, not too soon."

"I would like to learn from you."

BIC: "As you know, most nunehi divide not into Seelie and Unseelie.. We have Summer, Winter and Midseason.." Some of this she knew, but he goes into it anyway

Jessica nods.... then corrects. "My people are of Seelie and Unseelie. Summer and Winter."

"Ah, so your courts are tied to seasons" He did not know this..

"Many are, yes."

He ponders this then "Some of those here speak if being of talon or claw, versus feather.."

"Tell me of the feather."
