"Yep." Jessica shifts her grip on her maul. "Be ready, don't let 'em see you see 'em."

"Understood" Siv takes the hint, hand near but not on hilt as she looks to another area like she's still admiring doors and art and stuff "Maybe they don't want a fight but rather are trailing you to get your patrol? I couldn't make out but one...and barely that"

"I change it up quite a bit." She says softly, barely moving her lips.

Her sister missed one, there are two following them, one on each side, racing along rooftops..whatever they are, they are acrobatic sons of guns.

"he sure lands quietly" Siv says through her teeth following the example ,and still unaware the other

Jessica tries to observe them without being observed. "They. Two."

"Shit." she says at a whisper "missed that one. Sorry. Satyrs? They move quick enough"

"Could be." The local Nunnehi are another possibility....

"Oh right, you keep trying to make peace with them, how's that going?"

"Might be we're about to find out.... Ok, let's move along, heading back to the 'Hold a different route...." She leads the way only in as much as giving direction; the two Kings walks side by side.

Siv nods and fights the urge to pick up her pace.

Jessica marches with purpose and confidence.

And they come to .."Oh boy" Siv muters, for two figures now block their path (not counting the two on the side). One is an Ogre Thallian, no true troll, hulking and brutish. The other is...KIND of looks like a boggan but there is something twisted about him, and he has a club in his hand, more like a blackjack really, but the ogre? HE has a club

the boggan thing smirks "We've come for the daughter of Frank King. The other of you can leave."

Jessica immediately turns 180, figuring the others will drop in behind them, and goes back to back with Siv. "Not happening."

Following her sister's lead, Siv draws her rapier.

"Fine, one for the boss, one to play with"

Jessica brings the maul to ready. "Walk away, folks. While you can."

"Take em down" He yells

ANd from the side, darts are launched

"No quarter." But the darts are not something she expected, and a maul isn't much of a help.

Not much help, but Jessica knew the guys on the roofs were there so..side steps just in time to have a needled dart strike the ground and miss her. SIv , normally more nimble, manages to avoid a direct hit, but still gets scratched "Shit"

"Can you move?"

"Yeah, whatever drug was in it didn't get in me blood, so just a scratch. " Siv says "But we need cover ,of sorts, and I know how to get it' She whistles to the ogre "Hey Ugly, I hear little birds shit all over you overgrown gargoyles! You're an embarrassment to true trolls. I mean, it's like an unseelie troll screwed a warthog, a really really stupid wart hog... not sure which was your mother"

"RAAARRR" The Ogre snarls and charges forward

"See," Siv says "That should buy us some cover from the next darts"

Jessica pivots so -she- is facing the Ogre, and comes up with her Maul ready.

"DAMNIT, Jub!" the Bogart yells "We're supposed to take them alive!"

Jub was charging for Siv, so the advanced tactic of someone... you know, meeting him isntead, throws him off ... Jessica turns to face him, and whips her maul around to meet his charge. The force the maul head and the Ogre skull meet with is something to see!..and hear!

As the Ogre is abruptly looking left from that shot,, and sputting out two teeth from a now bloody mouth

Jessica doesn't try to fight the maul's momentum... she lets it swing away and follows up with knees to the .... um. And stomping boot-heels to the instep.

Siv says "Greedy!" And Jessica realizes her sister is talking to her, "Seriously, I'm supposed to go after the big one too. Code of Dagda" A dart fires, missing her sister, "But if you've got him... I know who to take on" She makes a break and rushes forward, expending a bit of glamour to save her cantirp take as quicksivleer races her way... Anyone else might need a hoptscotch, but Jessica's sister not only crosses the distance, but she leaps from dumpster to low ledge to balcony to roof top in a series of actions as a kiithin blur, now in melee with one of the darters

The Ogre snarls as Jessica continues her onslaught and he backhands jessica with his own club, slammiing her in the belly and threatening to take the wind out of her

(Jess wasn't aiming for his knees.... she was aiming -with- HER knees...)

Jessica gasps for air and thinks she feels a lower rib of her own break from the blow.

"Jub, no kill, no kill! " The boggart says and waves his blackjack in the air, "Geez, hope this works"

With a grunt and great determination, she flips the maul head-up and drives it into the air head-first, towards the Ogre's chin.

THe ogre hit hard! But Jessica hits hard too, and there is a satisfying CRUNCH as a jaw bone breaks.

She yanks on the way down, hoping for a second impact.

Then the magic flows and... Jessica and Siv both FEEL as if they've been knocked on the head from behind. That blackjack is a treasure of some sort... meant to drive them unconscious without touching them

She loses control of that second attempt at a strike, staggering.

And recovers as whatever the treasure tried...well, trollish stubborness over came it. Siv runs her foe through, and turns seeing her sister in danger, she takes a leap , a death from above on the ogre ...

and if she misses, it will hurt, a lot

Mustering her Will a second time, Jessica lifts the maul from the ground just enough to drop it with malice aforethought onto the Ogre's foot.

Seeking to crush it, but she'll take putting him off balance....

And Jessica hears her sister groan as she lands, "I think I just really hurt my knee" For she misssed

The Ogre was about to laugh 'har har' at Siv's misfortune , only to have toes break with his tooth

well, teeth... so he's breaking at both ends

"ARRGH! STOP IT" He snarls and swings wildly

"Sis, down!" Siv yells but whether Jessica would comply or not?
