The table is short, by adult standards. Yet it is frustratingly tall enough that the ten month old girl cannot reach it from a sitting position. Her clever hands feel along the rim of it. Shuri knows that there is candy up there.

Eying the building blocks nearby, the ones with engineering symbols on them, she grabs them and lays them out trying to assemble a slightly higher foundation.

Tweak watches from the Perfectly Squeaky Chair with a smirk. She was going to comment, but her little girl gots a plan....

It's not a perfect square, a touch more hex like oddly. But it seems solid enough for the little girl to try to shove her diapered butt onto of it. She is now exactly two inches closer from a sitting position to reach the table, and what might be on it.

It is not enough. And a look of severe irritation crosses her goggled eyes.

“Yeah?” Tweak goads her daughter. “Whatcha gonna do ‘bout it, huh?”

She tries to stand, of course, but the blocks aren't really made for standing on, and Shuri could slip and fall.... maybe could

Tweak’s jaw clenches a bit, but all she says is, “Check yer foundation, Miss Thing.”

One cube shoots away and the baby staggers, and to her credit, rather than faceplanting, manages to land on her ass.

Oh she is ticked.

But her butt is padded so.

“Yeah, well, so now you know...don’ stand on that shit.” A shrug.

She cries ,and POINTS to the table! There is candy there. If she cannot do this herself, well, you're never too young to delegate!

“Pfft.” Tweak is dismissive. “You ain’ my shop boss. Git it yerself .” She turns away to look back at her blueprints...or pretends to.

Fury with demands turns to disbelief, and disbelief turns , for just a moment, to hurt and betrayal. Then, that passes, and a new look gets on Shuri's adorable face. Stubborn Resolve. And she...rises... standing.

It’s all Tweak can do not to yell for Nec...but she does quickly start recording video on the phone aimed over her shoulder. She bites her lip hard to keep from letting out an excited curse.

A step, and now she's against the table. Feet find one cube she can rely on! A reach and fingers grab the prize! Victorious, Shuri pops it into her mouth, turns, and takes another step without even thinking about it

This will not last long, there are cubes on the floor, and well...but for this brief moment, Shuri has taken her first steps!

Tweak carefully turns in her chair, still recording. “Well, fuckin’ lookit you!” she says proudly. “Look what you gone ‘n done!”

Shuri looks around as if she had inadvertently discovered she was on top of pride rock in a Disney movie. She gurgles... and the candy falls to the floor! Splat. No worries... childlings at this age have a firm five minute rule. She bends down, and, well, tumbles over. She's confused, where did the candy go? Her mother sees the answer as it now stuck to her kid's head

Glamour flickers about the workshop... but Tweak's not sure where this new rush came from. She almost feels giddy. The glamour tastes of wonder and pride.

Tweak snorts. “Now you gotta learn how ta bring it in fer a landin’.”

Then she blinks at the rush. “Th’ fuck..,?”

But no way is she fighting it!

NEcropsis walks on in "Yo, bitch. What the hell you creating this time? " He eyes his true heart, "You like got Elmo's fire coming out of your ass"

“C’mere, babygirl.” She scoops Shuri up and plucks the candy out of her hair, sucks on it quickly to de-grime it, and hands it back to Shuri.

A toothy smile at Nec, and she passes him the phone. “Jus’ a li’l experiment...”

Shuri giggles twice, and sucks on the candy.

"Yeah? " He eyes it "Some dude die in this one? Like SAW or …" But then all six of his eyes widen in a bit of wonder as well. "SHIT! LIttle bitch took it like a gangsta!"

“Right?” Tweak’s still beaming. “Shoulda done seen her workin’ it out! Girlfriend be a STUBBORN l’il bitch! Ain’t ya?”

"Oh yeah, how she get THAT ..damn mystery" He's playing the video again "We got the smartest little monster in the world, damn, she what two hands worth of months?" Despite his talk of little bitch and monster, Necropsis kisses his daughter's head right on top while Tweak holds said daughter warmly. SHuri has candy and affection and is just in a great mood.

“Tha’s it. Any second, we gonna find her breakin’ inta th’ liquor.” She looks at the newly minted toddler. “Stay away from my fuckin’ Cuervo.”

No promises, the big eyes seem to say with satisfaction.

Necropsis actually laughs, a rare thing to be done when it's not at another's expense. "We put some safety locks on some shit, up the difficulty level"

“Slow her down, at least,” Tweak nods.
