"Yes." Jessica confirms. "And Shard, we've got most of them, right?"

"Yes..." Shard says Simply. FIrmly. "I mused them."

With the go-ahead from Jess, Tweak hands over some ammo to Duff. "Don' use it all on one body."

"Got it, Splinter."

"Duff, hang on...." Before he goes to distribute the ammo she crosses to him and whispers in his ear.

He listens

Then nods "Noted"

Mitra comes in "Tomas is riding a giant bug..."

She gives him a fast smile. "Thanks. Don't step on the ants." And she returns to Sayda and the 'Fire.

"Is he staying on?"

"Pretty good , actually" She says

"Well then, I think he's fine." Jessica looks around; mischief managed?

Tweak doesn't seem at all interested in leaving the new hold, and gravitates over to Necro for a quiet, muttered conversation.

Necro mutters

Tweak smiles toothily. "You know, I knew there be a reason I fuckin' like you, an' it ain' jus' be th' sex."

Nec grins back "But mostly the sex"

For Jessica, she can see wounds being tended, folks getting help. Mortals being guided if need be.

"Th' sex don' suck," Tweak admits, then looks at the balefire in a...well...rather proprietary fashion.

"Ok." She exhales and turns to the 'Fire. "Shard, Tweak... can we speak with you?"

"Standin' right here, B. Whatchoo want?"

"Of course," Shard strides up

Tweak seems a bit reluctant to get any further away from the new bale, but she sighs and scuffs over. Shuri coos and gurgles at the pretty fire behind her mother's back.

Shuri burps, which means one day I'm going to run this joint..or something like it..yeah, better.

"You tell 'em, sprocket."

"Here's my thoughts. Sayda may have a claim on this 'Fire, she's the one that started it. Shard, you have been putting a lot of effort and energy into preparing it, and I recognize that. It's within my Fief, and Tweak, I did say the Co-op would have a claim on the next Freehold or Balefire."

Shard looks dubious.

"Shard, I'll fight you for it, but only if I have a legitimate chance of possession; it might be neither of us do, if the 'Fire recognizes Sayda." She crouches to speak to the girl. "Sayda, it's my experience that any good management of a Balefire, or even taking on the responsibility, requires cooperation and support. Moreso, because you're a childling. "

She looks up. "Shard, I'll champion Sayda if it's necessary."

"Uh, B, I pretty sure that order done come from higher up than you, 'member?"

"That deal been cut on my fuckin' Gail Day."

A scowl as it looks like she's about to be cut out of what is rightfully hers.

"You wan' me to go all legal an' shit, I c'n do it...."

"Tweak, I'll champion you too." She offers.

A somewhat-mollified nod, and a sneer at Shard...then a measuring look at the new kid."

"Sayda's Dream Dance ignited the 'Fire, Tweak. If it's hers, there's nothing I can do."

Sayda said "I heard a voice"

"Bullshit. It above yer damn jurisdiction. An' like you done say, key word be 'if'...so how the fuck we figger this out?"

Jessica rubs at the base of one horn; Tweak would recognize the move. "Well. She says she heard a voice. I guess... I guess we see if there's a connection? What did the voice say, Sayda?"

Tweak mutters, "It tell you where yer Lucky Charms is?"

"We did that joke, Tweak...." Absently.

"I done it better."

"It said that this place should be mine" Sayda gulps suddenly not feeling as brave but she frowns at the lucky charms bit

Shard frowns "I have honed this place, worked for it. And you would keep it from me? I thought if I swore to keep it and recognize your matter befitting the fief... this girl had a dream dance. We often hallucinate things"

"She be bran' new, B. Ain' no way she ready to take a Bale!"

"Sayda, if the 'Fire accepts you, would you allow Shard here to be your champion? That means he would fight on your behalf. And while you're in the first year and a day of your new life, I'd like you to be fostered at my Balefire, at Fenix Freehold."

Diego says "I know no one wants my opinion, but the revolution... shouldn't angry voices fit in well here?"
