"Well... they ordered you to leave and come here? Or just leave?"

"Well they suggested I visit a friend"

"So I thought I'd drop by here, assuming I was welcome" A raised brow

"Of course! I'm honored you'd think of me." Sincerely. "Well, how long do you have?"

"Well, 3 days then I'm off the hook so to speak... they will arrange the ritual and all" A sigh "I feel like a bridezilla on one of those shows with those hateful demanding women? It's not like I was insisting on a mermaid design with oyster shaped crapes"

Jess chuckles. "So spend three days here in the warm." She suggests. "Hit the beach."

"Kerri and Olgar did, Kerri had a great time."

"Well, if Kerri took a break, I mean, she's not as hard to wean away for a relax time as Chieftain Brekke but neither gives in too easily... Oh listen to me, I'm being rude. I take it they're doing well? I'm only a foot bridge away but I have not been keeping track"

She nods, sipping her soda. "Yes, they are. You heard about the Wilder's adventures there?"

"Well I know they won Pennons... " wry "They went through some DeBukes to do it"

Jessica shakes her head and relates the Saga of the Defeat of BugMan ".... and after it was all over, Dad called me for a nice long chat all about nothing. I got a letter later from Siv about what happened." Dryly.

BIC: Clem grins wolfishly, "That's amazing. You must have been so proud! Proper Quest and they brought down an enemy of home and kin."

"I -am- proud of them. And not at all surprised they won at Pennons." She grins.

"ah, Kelby got a bit cocky, I know. Still, I know they thumped a lot of sidhe too. So..while I try to be openminded, very gratifying. " A tilt of her head, "Your dad okay? You said he called and talked a lot about nothing?"

She nods. "I think he needed to ... touch base. Know I was ok."

"That's got to be nice" She says wistfully "I miss my folks fussing"

"Was a time, I'd have thought it was a pain. Now, though... yeah. Kind of nice."

"Well, I guess it can be both" she says "I don't know about hitting the beach, maybe but... I get plenty of sun working"

"There's other stuff to do." Jessica offers. "You know about our hot springs, right?"

"Well, with your permission I'll try a bit of both" A nod "I know how proud you are of what you've done with the area. How are your people here?"

"I'm proud of what we have all accomplished here; I didn't work alone." She puts her people first. "Things are... well, it's not -easy- but I think things have improved somewhat. There's a couple hot spots, but we've seen some successes too."

"Pennons was good; Tweak didn't compete this year but her Coop did well."

"That co-op is amazing. Oh, reminds me, the Bull did not like The Moobulator test, but I see promise"

"You actually took that thing up there?"

"Jeeze, Clem.... I'm impressed."

"Billy the Bull was not, when he started to squirt, he freaked out, kicked a hole in the stall"

Jaw-drop.

She shakes her head "Worse part was how despite his ill behavior, every man on the farm, from lad to elder, walked by to console Billy" A roll of her eyes

Jessica's jaw clamps down, her lips struggle not to curve up.

Clem continues to roll her eyes and mimics a deeper voice "'tain't natural' 'we still respect you billy', and my personal favorite 'first they came for the bulls, and I said nothing because I was not a bull'...." a snort and back to her normal voice "Hypocrites. We'e going to eat him eventually"

"Well, you've got Elder Form down pretty well. Give them a chance to learn what it's like?"

"Change their se..." A pause "Huh, they better hope they don't give me grief Pranksgiving then" a smirk, "You're full of interesting ideas, Westy"

"hell, and man to woman- and to think, some folks in our area don't believe in the theory of evolution"

She nods and offers a toast with her Coke.

A soft clink and a smile "Thanks, I guess maybe getting off the farm wasn't bad. Look I know there are dozens of ways to realax around here, but is there anything I can help with? Too much leisure will make me squirrelly"

"We've been sitting down for five minutes, Clem." Dryly "I don't think this counts as really -relaxing-. Do you know how to ride a motorcycle?"

"Little bit, better on a tractor, but somehow I suppose that would draw stares"\

She nods. "Probably. We could go riding sometime if you want."

"And hey! Have you met the Fyremare?"

"Fyremare? No...what's this? You have a horse?"

"Well, kind of, yes. Met her last Samhain."

"How did I miss this? Firemayres are incredibly fast and fierce chimera! "

"She's not bad." Jessica agrees "She ran into some... wolf-things, and I helped her out and now... well, she hangs out around here."

"Oh I am envious, does Sylvi know about this? She's liable to try swindle you out of her. That girl loves horses"

"I showed her when she visited." A faint smile. "That was nice. Good to see everyone. Well, almost everyone. You want to talk about someone hard to get to take a break? Dad said, before they went on their quest, he used boating lessons as an excuse to get mom to a nice dinner and a night at a hotel." She shakes her head.

A snort, "I adore your mom, she's one of my heroes, but I can believe it. Come on ,show me this Fyremare and we'll talk about your dad having to be sneaky just to get your mom to take a breather"

And off they go, to see a horse inspired in large part by one old fantasy movie
