Coradel shakes her head. "I will fund the journey to bring Fandango to his home. But let us all sit and speak together of how we may resolve such issues going forward?" Now she includes Ruzgala. Perhaps there is a way that the eshu might avoid being on Coradel's shit list?

"Your husband used dictum on me so you'll pardon if I don't trust you." She looks at Lucky "Do as you will, I have other drop offs. Keep the money and quilt too. If you're going to return him then I didn't really complete the find in a way that benefits." She looks to Fandango "Don't trust nobles too lightly, Fandango. They talk very nicely, and when that fails, they take away your choice. Her husband did." She turns and walks off.

"I would recommend that you stay and talk. Otherwise, I'll make sure your reputation as a trafficker precedes you."

A slow turn, then a smile, "Are you SURE you want to get into a war of stories with an Eshu?"

"To prevent you from exploiting those in need? I just might risk it." Coradel's chin is up, her stubborn won't-back-down look.

"However, I may have a remedy that will satisfy you."

"Okay, that is enough... " Lucky Louise "Hello, boggan here, AND the actual freeholder here. Or at least main rep. Baroness, you're trying to get her to stay but your insults are not working save to make an enemy. If you keep doing that 'traficker this, traficker that' then saying how you'll graciously give her a chance you'll make an enemy for life. And Ruzgala, your idealism is grand, you truly aren't in this for the money, but you are putting politics, YOUR Politics before all else. And that worries the Baroness, rightly. Now if you two can realize that neither of you is completely right or wrong in this, and neither are we. First things first, sommeone get Fandango some food and by the fire, let him rest poor dear. Then we'll drive him later back to his home area as we said. Now I think a talk between the two of you is fine, but not if you talk past each other like you've been doing. Each of you trying to win the audience over as a power play to 'win'... good intentions both, but really." A humph "Take five minutes to consider that the other person is NOT a villain, or a criminal, or a tyrant... then start again, please?"

Coradel's brows go up at being lectured, but after a moment she bows graciously to Lucky. "As you say, Freeholder. Five minutes." A look to see if Ruzgala is also going to follow these instructions.

Ruzgala is taken a back as well, then has the decency to blush lightly "Five minutes to ..calm. Yes. I suppose I am a bit ired"

Coradel inclines her head slightly to Ruzgala, and then moves a bit away, taking Bachdion with her. The satyr can tell that she's quietly fuming but doing her best to maintain her temper.

Bachdion whispers "Righto f demense works for mews too, and Lucky is trying to keep the peace"

She nods and whispers back, "I recognize and respect that. She is trying to be a good leader. A bit desperate, perhaps, but a good leader. The eshu, though...." Her jaw clenches.

"I don't see how I can think of her as anything other than a criminal, given what she's trying to get paid for."

"In quilts." he reminds "And a finder's fee is hardly atypical for someone who finds a dream dance. Dolores owes a lot of what she has thanks to finding you." A reminder

Ruzgala is pacing in her corner trying to cool off.

"Hand-made quilts. I don't collect them myself, but I'm quite aware of the glamour that can reside in such, especially if they contain generations of family clothing scraps." Then a frown. "Dolores was rewarded with a position, but she did not demand a reward upon bringing me to EarthRunes. That was Baron Nemauses' decision."

"And a known custom" he says "But, don't worry, Delores would have done it because she is Delores, and a good friend and a kind soul." A beat "if a bit highly wound. I'm a bit more concerned with the others still waiting to be delivered possibly in the carriage now as we speak. Ready to talk?"

"I am actually tempted to have you go out and liberate them while I keep Ruzgala talking," Coradel whispers. "Get them back to EarthRunes, and from thence, to their original locations."

He looks amused, "if that's your wish, but do understand you'll possibly make an enemy of one Eshu, and at least one she troll who was giving you distrusful looks thorugh the whole thing"

"Well, I'll just have to talk them around before they find out about it." An amused look at him. "It's my wish, Bachdion, but I'll let you advise me against it if you think it's absolutely the wrong strategy."

" I think it is rash and could backfire, but it is also a good way to restore folks to their proper homes. so there, I'm utterly no help. I'll get over there to start up"

She rolls her eyes, humor much improved, and she pats him on the shoulder. "Do it if you can," she says quietly while smiling. Anybody watching them might think Coradel's advisor simply said something witty, not that there's a plot going on. Then she steps away from him and moves back towards the freeholder. She also takes a look at Fandango...did he actually get the rest and food suggested?

He is eating as they speak near the feeble fire.

Ruzgala also is looking at him with concern, then sees the Fiona and inclines her head

"Here, you two over here," Lucky guides them to a table for two where drinks await.

"Thank you, Lucky" Ruzgala says "Shall we?"

Coradel nods. "Thank you, Freeholder." She takes a seat as directed. "You will join us, I hope?"

"As you like" She pulls up a third chair "Now, both of you are clearly passionate people. And I'm sorry if my tone was a bit brusque to you both earlier... but you two are so much alike it's no wonder you get on each other's nerves a tad"

Coradel gives Ruzgala a dubious look. She doesn't seem to see the resemblance.

Ruzgala looks just as mystified

Lucky Louise sighs "Well, you seem so to me so just leave it at that. Now, Ruzgala, her husband dictumed you. She may have agreed with that because of course she favors him and trusts him to be prudent, but she did not do it herself. And Coradel, the young woman lost her will in a moment when she was trying to help. She feels betrayed regardless of the situation. Naturally she's going to be cautious about any noble for a bit. Can you both agree on that?"

Ruzgala mmmphs then says "To be fair, she had nothing to do with the incident in question."

"I suppose I am still stuck on the 'trying to help' part. The finders fee part makes it seem more like she's trying to help herself rather than the chrysalids. I'm willing to listen to an alternate explanation," she says, and seems genuinely open to hearing it.

"Gas, food, and a hotel, so I don't take up resource the new fledge will need" Ruzgala says "Also, small or not, commoner holds are proud too. They don't like charity. But a 'bargain' lets them hold their head high"

A look to Lucky. "Do you agree, Freeholder? I know you can speak for yourself on what you like or don't like."

"She's not wrong, Baroness. The Seelie especially around here believe in REPAYING Debts." The boggan says "I can't explain it to you very well, but the less you have, sometimes the more you want to prove you still can hold your head up."

"I can understand that, and it's admirable. But I'm still troubled that your decision about where to bring them has nothing to do with where they came from."

"And I'm troubled that this 'back and forth' has become a you demand I explain myself, but don't do the courtesy of giving anything in return," Ruzgala points out "I admit you had nothing to do with the dictum, but you act like you didn't hear that my being skittish around nobles would be understandable. We're three exhanges in, and I'm on trial, but you get to insult me as a 'trafficker' and when you learn how this is NOT about the money, dross or the like, you still want me to explain myself to you. You don't see why that's offensive?"

Lucky says "It has been a BIT one sided, but I don't think out of malice"

A blink. "I'm still not clear that it's not about the money. All that I've heard is your assurance that that isn't it, but placing a dozen chrysalids makes you a pretty penny. At least...." She puts up a hand and pauses, taking a breath. "At least, that's the point that I'm still stuck on. Regarding the support of mews, I absolutely do understand the commoner desire for self-determination. While I try to be a good leader to my people, I understand that not all leaders are so. And that self-determination needs to be supported by new additions. I am familiar with stories of successful commoner mews, and I don't find them a threat -- I find them inspiring. BUT...the welfare of the chrysalid must, always, come first."

"You... have no idea how little a hundred dollars gets you in gas and hotel rooms," The Eshu gawks "NEvermind sometimes folks try to talk me down, and I let them. Again, it is important they save face. How rich ARE you?" Baffled "you really think ffolks can live on... nevermind, you do realize that some holds are getting more than one, and I don't ask 'per'?"

"How can she realize, Ruzgala? You've not told her about some holds getting two or three"

"No, I didn't realize that. But my concern is that the Dreaming saw fit to give them their Dream Dances, each in a particular place, and each at a particular time. Something in the place of their origin nurtured their potential to hatch, and now they've been stolen away from that influence. And yes, I DO realize that you did not do the initial stealing...but they need to be brought home."

She feels the buzz of her phone. "Oh...I'm terribly sorry, pardon me a moment." She takes out the phone and looks. Then a frown and a quick text back: No.

"I'm as much a part of the Dream and Da'an as random chance or even fate. I'm an Eshu, and that means I know where to be, and wehere to take others... or so my kith believes"
