Frank is putting the Rig to bed in the parking lot; final walk-around, checking the equipment, so on. His travel duffle is on the ground near the cab.

Siv shows up there "hey da"

"Hello Siv." He greets her with a low rumble "Everything going well?"

'Not so much, Da. I've news and it's not good per se. Though it could have been much worse. Do you have a moment?"

"Of course." he finishes, wipes his hands on a rag, and scoops up his duffle. Then he turns to her.

"i'm just going to blurt it all out and we can go over any parts you need" she says taking a deep breath

Frank braces himself, internally.

"Rikki was nice enough to trade apartment suites with us as hers is larger and we're having babies. Saved our ass whatever I think of her. UNfortunately, someone found her in OUR old place, figured she was me but shapeshifte, and tried to kill her with a mortal knife. It was an Eshu hit man. Rikki is ok. The bastard is captured and being interogated by the Spymaster. However before that happened, I did get to question him with Rikki's help... and he claims he was hired by a sidhe named 'Lady Highfeather' with peacock ear rings. I'm going to go after her, and her resources. If I bankrupt her by giving her wealth away so she can't get it back she can't hire more hitmen. It's been suggested I should go after her dross as well and I agree. Mom points out I HAVE to tell Piper and Jonas about my plan and sshe's right, darn it. I could use your advice on leads and such but I think I've got this handled though Kerrri worries I'm a bit too involved personally"

Frank listens gravely.

He nods. "Someone paying to have you killed tends to involve a person in a personal kind of way."

"Aye, but I am a troll and those under my care have been threatened by this. Feels wrong to pass the buck on that" A frown

"Didn't mean to suggest you should."

"Well, when Aunt Kerri worries, I'm obliged to at least consider it. I just... there are times i do not feel a very proper troll at all. I let this slide, or let someone else handle it while I twiddle my thumbs then I think I might as well put a fork in any pretense of being a troll. That said, I would appreciate your advice. 'Highfeather' and Peacock jewelry? Sure sounds like your old dancing partner or a relative there of"

"Mm." he shifts the duffle in his hand "Hiring someone to come after you."

"Yeah. " A nod "Was wondering if it screamed 'Leanhaun clan that doesn't like us'"

Frank takes a breath "Maybe this is more my fight than yours."

Siv arches a BROW that is almost equal to her mother

He returns her look calmly.

"Your'e making me wish I hadn't told you of this" She finally sighs "Da. I'm a spy. A professional one. I'm more qualified for robbing this woman blind than you are, don't you think? "

"Not saying you aren't qualified, Siv. Saying the situation is more mine than yours."

"I disagree, but I see why you would feel I was targeted for being your daughter. That is not necessarily the case though because I have done some..work against house Leanhaun on my own these last years. Stuff I'm not supposed to talk about"

"That said..." A sigh "Would you like to be part of the team?"

His frown deepens.

"Yes."

"Sorry dad, spying is what I can do that few other trolls can or do.. I don't get much time to sea so the Lady Captain thing is a grand title but one rarely in actual use. Dagmar is the better warrior, Sylvi a better leader, Gerd a powerful caster and better cook. But spying? I saw a chance ,learned the arts, have a knack to avoid scrying.. .and I'm not the best, but I'm great by troll standards. I would like your lore on things, your advice. I don't want you on the front line of this one because the fight such as it is will be asymeterical"

"Mm. Well, I wouldn't want to be in the way." he rumbles softly before he heads up the path towards the Lodge; she's welcome to come with him, but it's hot standing in the parking lot.

"Oh dammnit" She follows "That's not how I meant it and I'm sorry if it came that way. I just... fine ,what part do you want to play in this?"

"No, you're right, Siv. I'm not a spy, and I don't do that kind of work anymore."

"If I -did-, and I had someone like me who wanted to come along, I'd try and turn them down as a liability."

"Anymore?" A brow lift "Dad... there's a lot about what you used to do you never told me. I'm going by what I have knowledge wise. If you're qualified to assist in some way I didn't know about then I'm not a fool and will hear you out" A frustrated look briefly but she smooths it

He shakes his shaggy head. "It was a long time ago. I'd be out of practice, and I have none of the resources I'd need or want. You're right."

"Well, maybe I am, but I worry I came across as a bitch about it, and your my father and If anyone else disrespected you I'd want to punch them in the jaw so if I just did so I owe you an apology" A sigh "Sorry Da. I DO need help. I'd like to have your help. i just was worried you were going to bust in and I'd be twiddling my thumbs. "

"I'm not offended." he assures her, opening the Lodge door for her "I -do- want to bust in."

"Well, as long as you bust in but don't try to bench ME we can work with it" She says going in with him

Frank nods and follows her inside, setting his duffle down.

"Do you have a plan and/or a team yet?"

"You're the first if you want in. I have a few contacts, but the problem with hiring folks is you have to have resources to pay them. I know one computer guy I think he'd help. "

"You have my support, just not sure what I can bring to the effort."

"How about intell on your old enemy? Outdated or not, I need to see about this relation hook if it is the right one"

They can both here Brekke's footsteps trudging up from the stables.

She prepares mom's coffee almost out of habit if her dad doesn't beat her to it

He's already there.

At that, Siv smirks

Brekke comes in and sees them about to collide at the coffee station. A brow. "Siv, you have told him?"

"Mmm..... I never knew too much about him." Frank rubs his beard, thinking. "Maybe.... three years ago? He was here, mad as a rat from what I could tell. He fled."

"I think she has." Frank guesses.

"You're still pretty quick there, Da" Then a look at her mom "I did. He thinks this should be more his fight than mine" A brow lift at that

An answering brow to Siv, which she then turns on Frank as she accepts her coffee from him. "You have fought this battle," she reminds him.

"Does the name Lady Highfeather seem familiar to you?" she asks him.
