She takes a deep breath, holding it as she thinks.

A shake of her head. No.

"Good. Then...I will leave you to finish what you were doing. Be well, Dame Dagmar. Report to me soon about May."

"Yes'm. I'm seeing her soon."

Tove waits at the bottom of the steps

Brekke leaves and heads downstairs, nodding to Tove as she reaches the main floor. "Thank you."

Tove says softly "You're welcome. She is...rather upset. You say you know what this is about. Can you share it with me or does that violate a trust?"

Brekke takes a slow, deep breath. "I believe she will tell you, but she must resolve an issue first. I believe that, if I tell you first, that might undermine her ability to resolve it." A pause. "She can resolve it. I am confident in this."

A nod "Thank you, Chieftain I.. I trust you. I just wish." A sigh "She's a grown woman. I know that. But I wish she would turn to me and let me help. Selfish of me"

An empathetic expression. "It is a selfishness I understand. You are not alone in having a daughter who does not always confide in you. But never doubt that she loves you."

"Yes. I believe you I just... well, thank you." A nod "And yes, you know what it's like. Can I get you some coffee or anything before you go?"

"Thank you, but forgive me if I decline. I have had many tasks this morning, and not yet had time to accomplish some of them."

"Be well, Tove. You as well, CJ."

"Bye " CJ waves

Tove smiles a bit "Of course, be well. The door is always open"

Brekke nods her thanks and departs.

And upstairs... Dagmar has what might be just what her friend needs

She sets the Dreamcatcher down, turning back to the pile of paper - just a few more pages, and she'll go.
