"Agreed." he rummages a moment and pops a couple aspirin "My hope is that they won't recount the story to anyone. How could a helpless little old fat man possibly have been so frightening?"

"They'll probably say you were hopped up on meth or whatever the crazy nutty dangerous drug of choice is around here" CC says "back in my travels, it was fear of Vietnam vets with LSD flashbacks"

He gives her a look "Do I appear to be a meth head?" amused.

"In the shadows flapping bags?" a light tease

He chuckles. "Well, they can -try-."

"Let's just say, young men are prone to creating stories to save face....particularly after nearly shitting themselves"

He waves his hand "They can try. And, they are not as much a concern as the fact there have been two attempts at this RV, and/or us, so far."

"I know... " She says "I see why you don't trust the odds."

"Never." firmly.

"Then we should consider options... one of us being hexed by foul fortune? Or the vehicle itself? Deliberate spy out there working through mortals?"

"The elf is Eiluned. Could be all three. Hm. Can you ken us and the vehicle? Otherwise... hm. A spy...." he considers the idea.

"The only thing I ken " She kens "Is us and..." She stops "Wait... where our Mr. Phlan did repairs? there's some glamour there"

Willam heads over and points it out to her.

She looks it over "I wonder. Do you think it's possible a flaw in hi s work is it attracts mortal eyes?"

"Mm... wasn't the first attack -before- he worked on it?"

She taps at it "Maybe?"

"Mmm. Shall we take it out?"

"I mistrust the coincidence of his repair and his shop burning down."

"Well, won't driving be a problem then?"

"Depends on how much damage he did putting the thing in."

"YOur call dear." She aquiesses, "So manly with your sleeves rolled up"

He sighs and gets down slowly and with a groan to fiddle with it, see if he can removed without destroying the RV.

"Let's not tell Phlan you replaced his stuff" Amsued

"Oh, I think not. We'll have to dispose of it somehow."

"why not sell it? ohhh or better yet, swap it for someone else's parts? Without them knowing about it?"

"Perhaps. But we can't have it around here."

"mmm" She ponders

"Well, I can maybe veil it specifically?"

"And you unload it on a moving vehicle?"

"Could be useful, though. If only to throw the scent off...."

"There's got to be cargo trains in this area " SHe considers'

"Not a bad idea."

"Of course, most of my ideas are good. Remember the time I hooked a boggan sugar daddy?"

He chuckles. "I may need you to refresh my memory while my muscles are still flexible."

" I'll invest in a good masseuse for you" A smile

"Mmm..." he pulls her closer and kisses the back of each hand "Where best to rest tonight?"

"I found a place, humble sort of set up Abner and Cecily could afford"

"Ooo, I'd love to see it but dare we take the RV there?"

"Daze Inn... it has a well lit parking area at least. One of their 'luxuries'... street lights"

"Very well." And off they go.

Daze inn is one of the standard motels, very cookie cutter.

"Mmmph. I suppose we'll have to make our own magic." he smirks at her.

"Oh yes, honey, it'll be just like our honey moon at that Big Bass Pro shop" She gushes

He cackles at this, and they get out of the RV to go in.
