For Cecily and Abner, anything is better than a greyhound to get to Conecuh County.

Which is why, despite the time it will take, they drive.

the road trip is actually pleasant despite frequent rain. To be realistic, they use moments at rest areas and the like to practice their new roles

Coming out of a rest stop convenience store together, the door opens just before Abner can push it open and.....

.... the trucker on the other side starts to move out of thier way to allow them to exit, then freezes, staring.

Abner.... looks up... and up.....

"Well. Isn't this a surprise?" he says mildly.

"What's that, hon?" Playing along

Frank King is staring down.... and down....

"What are you doing here?" he rumbles suspiciously.

"A road trip. For pleasure. Are you still in the trucking business?"

"Yes." still most guarded.

"Frank, is that you? You look marvelous," Cecily says

Abner realizes they're blocking the doorway and people are trying to squeeze through. "Let's step outside, shall we?"

Frank moves to the side, and Abner and Cecily can exit. The Giant takes in their costumes and general look. "You're not on a road trip for pleasure." he hazards.

"Oh Frank," A tut , "Not every question has just once answer. I Hope you're doing well? "

"Why?"

"why not?" She replies with a smile

"Because neither of you has any benefit to gain if I am doing well." Frank responds seriously.

CC shakes her head sadly "While I might dispute that, even if it were so, not everything is for personal gain."

Abner pats her hand "Dearest, Frank is operating on old relationships, I fear."

"A pity" She squeezes Abner's hand "We should probably leave him be."

"Billingsworth, what's your game?" Frank asks quietly and intently.

The boggan lifts an eyebrow and looks at Callidora Should we tell him?

The satyress frowns at this, then says "It's a personal matter to me, Frank. A family matter. And I'd ask you to respect that"

Frank leans back slightly, considering this.

William nods, looking at Callidora.

Then Frank nods slowly. "Ms. Carolos, can you tell me honestly that you mean no harm to any Fae in this matter?"

A look around to make sure no one is listening in

(Frank spoke quietly.)

She says "Frank, ask yourself, what would you do if family was involved, and you'll have my answer too"

His brow lowers, frowning.

"Where?" he rumbles finally.

CC says "Not here. Now I know you don't mean it this way, but you're starting to make it sound like we need your approval to travel the country side. Which is very ironic coming from you. It was nice to see you are well, Frank, but we need to go now"

The troll looks down at William. "I'll be watching and listening, Billingsworth."

An eyebrow, and he nods "I know."

Frank rumbles, but says nothing.

"Oh goodness gracious, masculine posturing is cute... until it gets old. Let's go, dear" SHe says to Emerson

He tucks her hand into the crook of his arm and they walk away, leaving a still-suspicious Frank near the door, watching them the whole way.

They go on and she huffs once they're alone "I suppose we should veil or something to be on the safe side? "

"Mm... no, let's let him see us get in and depart. He -is- watching, isn't he?"

"You didn't tell me he was such a voyeur" She confirms

"If it were just us, I'd suggest we give him a show but that's not the image we want just now. In you go." He opens the RV door for her.

"I want to thank you for your good behavior" She gets in

"Mm." he pats her rear just to make a point, then bustles 'round to the driver's seat and off they go. He -also- refrains from waving bye-bye to Frank.

"Want me to blow a kiss behind us?" She notes the refraining

"No, I think he'd feel that to be teasing. Unless you -do- want him to follow us?" checking.

A sigh "I'll be good too then" and she behaves with exagerated demureness

He chuckles, delighting in her wickedness.

They drive a bit.

"Interesting, though. Running into Frank like that."

"I'd say it was just coincidence but I confess I'm not sure if I believe it. For us, fate, and chance both are very much forces. I still don't want conflict with him and his mind you."

"Hands off, Dearest." he says obediently.

"For me too" She says "I can see why you'd want to play with him. He means well I'm sure, but he did act a tad entitled"

"I think -he- thinks he's protecting... oh, I don't know. Someone."
