"Well.. okay" Siv smiles

Frank nods.

Siv goes near her dad "I'll take her out around the horses later.. for now..." She smles at the sight of a 9 year old girl petting a cat lovingly "Well, she's busy with important work"

"Agreed."

"Sure hope she doesn't get sea sick easy" A sip

"Might need to check on that." he agrees.

A nod "Thanks dad. I'm going to drop off my box of.. things at the apartment" She grabs the box "Kassedy, I'll be back in twenty minutes. Rest up, get to know the main room, and tip your hat to the bale."

"Mmm." Squire-sitting; well, he's done worse.

"Yes, Lady Captain" The girl smiles still petting the cat

And Siv makes haste. It'll be closer to fifteen minutes. Frank is wise enough not to ask a Fiona what was in the box

Frank spends the time observing Kassedy, but not in a creepy way; just learning more about the girl.

Brekke eventually enters the Lodge.

She sees Frank and the girl there. "All is well?"

Kassedy seems to be quiet, content to pet the cat, but when brekke returns, she bows

Frank nods. "Siv and Kassedy decided they suited each other; Siv will take her as squire."

"Yes," Squire Kassedy smiles

"Ah! And you are satisfied with this arrangement, Squire?"

Kassedy considers "Sir Franklyn would make a wonderful knight but he can't be here often, and Lady Captainn Siv is the first knight to act like she WANTED me"

A brow. "Those are reasons for a decision, but you did not answer the question."

"Oh... " She straightens "Yes, i am satisfied," Then she coves the side of her face that Frannk would view and whispers a bit too loudl "I'm actually happy to be a full time squire, but I didn't want Sir Frank to misunderstand and I hurt his feelings."

His beard moves.

She maybe a child of the Tuatha, a shiing host, but she is also 9

A barely-controlled grin, and she also "hides" what she's saying from Frank. "I think that was very considerate of you," she stage-whispers back.

Then she clears her throat and nods. "Very good, then."

"Thank you. " Sage nod. Clearly the squire believes 'Brekke' gets it, then she remembers "I hope you're still willing to teach me some too now and then? Both of you? I wannt to learn"

True

A serious nod. "Of course. There are many here who can teach you many skills."

"Of course."

A slight grin at Frank.

"Good.. " A breath "Why do they call you Chief, what's a Hearth? Do all troll lodges have so many wonderful animals because we should start doing that in sidhe holds. Is it true Dame Dagmar once jousted a car and won? Is it true you make a small fortune selling all the Drinks you win from Baron Kealan at Pennons? Where is Sir Frank going? Is it some place exotic like Wyoming?"

Blink.

A blink. "Well..." Brekke takes a breath and dutifully begins answering all the questions as truthfully as she can.

A glance at Brekke. I'd almost forgotten about little girls....

A bemused look back at Frank.

It seems for every questions answered, like the hydra, two more questions pop up to take it's place. But she is grateful for any and all answers

As she gets to the last two items on the (original) list, the answers become, "I do not know, and I do not know." A curious look to Frank.

And Siv returns "How's it going?" A curious look brow knit ("She can't be that much trouble, it's just one litle girl")

"Very well. Your squire has many questions."

"Ah, that's sweet, so what questionsn do you have?" Siv smiles

Brekke sits back and sips her coffee, waiting for Siv to get exactly what she just asked for.

"Why are you called Lady Captain and not just Lady or Dame? You're a sailor and a Fiona, shouldn't make your symbol a Sea Lion? What Breed is Mackeral? If I'm really good can I have a cat of my very own one day? Where will we be sailing TOO? Will there be pirates? Will they be fun pirates or scary pirates? Will my cat and their parrot be able to duel in the dreaming?"

If Siv had a monocle, it would pop loose in surprise "Well ah, let me try to..."

Frank sits back to watch as well.

"Oh and Pennons, will you be competing? Can I see your arms and armor so I can practice cleaning them for Pennons? Can I visit your apartmennt one day just to see where you live? If I'm really good can I have a cat of my own one day?"

A bemused glance to Frank.

Siv's expression says it all as she looks at her parents ("I was never THIS chatty right? RIGHT?")

Frank meets her eyes and his beard moves.

Siv looks at her "I think. I think you asked if you could have a cat of your own twice"

Brekke just takes another sip of coffee. There may be a grin hiding behind the mug.
