The dizzying effect of the flicker flash wears off, and PIper finds herself at a lake!

but, not the one she's used to

what looks to be a great castle, or is it just a large wall with castle like designs and parts, stands before here. But lovely as it is, it seems quite quiet. The lake however has a gentle soothing lapping, and a more distant waterfalll

She is a bit startled. She wasn't sure where she expected to be, but this wasn't it. Well, I still have my phone, I can always call a car or something.

The water looks nice, but she gives a wary look at that Castle. Castles mean money. And money tends to mean sidhe.

Piper looks around - anything she can pick up in the way of where she might be? Still in Mortal realms or did that crazy goth accidently drop her in the dreaming somewhere? Climate - still in the early fall-feeling East coast?

Not the Dreaming, not, but it wouldn't be hard to seep deeper into it if she wanted. The ttemperature feels..warm, almost tropical, thouh the water is Fresh not salt.

There is a ramp way across the water of fine wood.

Piper hesitates, but shoulders her bag and heads across the ramp. If nothing else, she can figure out where she is.

there are small signs low to ground...

says the firrst.... the second reads

A squint down at the signs, and she continues.

A third sign says No soveriegn please, or the Eagle your flesh will rake

"Huh." Onward. Burma shave?

She comes to the wall, and sees a gate, a porticulous... which would be a good defense if it were't for the lever on THIS side that has a sign that says Pull lever down to open

"Fair enough." She pulls the lever. If a rabbit in a waistcoat comes out, I'm turning around.

Pausing, she sends a text to Gerd. Where did u send me? not rlly in the mood for jokes

And a voice connfirms it, as the porticulus opens, a figure says "Welcome to The Lake"

TXT: .....riiiiiite

Well, a bit more human looking than that. "Welcome to the lake, Missy. "

She takes a step back. "Are you a friend of Gerd's? I don't think this is where I'm supposed to be."

"Gerd? Why, that's a name I haven't head in... nigh on a century... you in trouble with the law, darrling? Many of us are,... but you'll find we knocked all our elves off a shelf long ago" And she sees this is not a castle, at least, not anymore

Through the gate Piper can see that what was the side of castle, what she saw, is all that's left. The ruins have been cleared and it looks more like a faerie town , well, park?

And she can hear music from one of the bungalows

"I just wanted to get away for a while. At first I thought I wanted to be alone... but I'm not sure I want to listen to my thoughts either. I don't suppose there's a bash somewhere, big party, shindig, gloaming, anything like that?"

"Top of the wall, now and then has a party" he looks up, and up "The moon was invited" Daylight, there's a paty tonight on the wall?

"You want to be alone, we have huts by the thousand" Okay, clearly not that many, "You want company that soiclaizes? Well, the traggo here has a book club."

"I'm no good at riddles." A touch grumpy.

He sighs "I AM Smiling" A call back, "Oh TOWEL Boy?"

The ukulele music stops, and a satyr sticks his head out

A rather unhappy looking Satyr looks back at him.

"Sheriff Sam, what's up? OH... translation duties? Hey we got a guest? Cool" He looks like a calif beach bum, a good natured one "Hey, don't mind Sheriff Sam, he's powerful ... but ah, kind of a stiff. Welcome to the Lake. I'm Jeffery .. or if you prefer, Triple J"
