"Yup, it's....HOLY CRAP!" Sylvi stares at the...performance art? "Uhhh...hang on a sec."

She gets out of the car (careful of traffic) and jogs her way across the street to see who, exactly, is practicing giving her a heart attack.

"WHOOO" says the eshu girl

"What the heck are you doing?!"

"Painting..." She takes out the gear "Have to touch up some stuff and it's cheaper than having to pay a crew to do it. Who the hell are you?" She asks

"I'm Sylvi," she says, frowning with confusion, but she puts her other questions on hold as she asks, "Need help?"

The Eshu paints smoothly and nimbly, then "Oh, sorry didn't realize you were THAT person... Sully told me about you. I'm ...."

"Alanza?" Zane says "What are you doing up here? I thought you were at E... Missouri"

Sylvi looks over to Zane. "You've met?" she asks rather stupidly, because of course they have.

He lowers his voice "She and Adam were.. close.. " he sighs and mutters "I fail a lot of good folk."

"I'm a traveler, Zane" she reminds, though her greeting is a mix of sweet sorrow. She paints touching up some faded patches as they talk

She opens her mouth to reply, but doesn't quite know what to say, so she just says, "Oh."

"Well...um...I'm glad that you're here, Alanza. You're right that the place needs a fresh coat."

"Go on in, the whole place is getting beautified and touched up. Must be ten volunteers not counting me" Alanza assures

Sylvi tells Zane to go on in, and she takes a minute to make sure the car is parked properly, not just paused with the blinkers going.

When she joins him inside, she looks around with a critical but optimistic eye.

When she goes in, she sees Zane standing there with tools while a nocker calls out for them as he fixes new chairs.

Zane, holding the bucket of tools, gives her a look, "You want to tell them I'm not a volunteer or shall I?"

The nocker snorts "No show going on, you must be a furking volunteer, hornhead"

She chuckles. "I'm not sure they'll believe you. He's just visiting," she assures the nocker. "How's everything going? The chairs look good."

The nocker , who she knows to be named Scraps (He hates Scrappy) grins "Furkin fantastic, Bridge. Whole place is getting an upgrade more or less. Wheel chair accessible now"

"Perfect! Zane, this is Scraps, pretty much the crew master here. Scraps, Zane's a friend of mine from back home, thought I'd show him how good this is all coming together. Have you seen Sully around?"

"Sully is back stage, rehearshals and more... they're still a few talents short"

"Mm. I thought that might happen." She looks concerned. "I'm going to check in with him. Zane, want to come with me, or want to continue your role as tool belt?"

"I think I'll go with you if it's okay with Scraps?" He raises a brow "Scraps. I don't know what half these tools are"

Scraps takes the tool bucket from the satyr grumbling "Vulcan wept"

Zane smiles and follows his troll friend

Sylvi does her best not to laugh. "C'mon," and she leads him up onto the stage...which is always a nice place to pause and look out into the audience. "It's really coming together," she murmurs, then she turns to continue on into the wings (that strange, dark realm of ropes and pulleys), and then into the space backstage where rehearsals are possible.

Kenny, up in the ropes, waves!

"Hey, Kenny!" Sylvi waves. Then she adds in a mutter, "...not gonna tell him to be careful, not gonna tell him to be careful, not gonna tell him to be careful...."

"Hey Sylvi" A grin "I g- g got a chance to play winthrop bec-ca..us my stu tut... the thing might fit" and then he ziplines without a zipline to another part of the ropework

Zane grins

"That's excellent! You'll be great! Kenny, this is my friend Zane."

"HI ZANE" waving from the far end now

"Hey, Kenny" Zane waves back "Good luck on the part"

"Th.. thanks!"

Zane lowers his voice "Okay, a stuttering kid gets a chance to play Winthorp, that's nice AND clever"

"Sully's good that way. Everybody who wants to be in the show gets to be in the show, somehow. Might not always be in the way they thought they wanted, but Sully's got a good eye for how they might fit best."

As they come into back stage proper... they hear Sully

"You, milady, have broken Pert Kelton's heart, is that what you wanted? "

"Irish accent, English accent" they see an actress sighing "It's all going to sound foriegn. "

"Them's fighting words," Sylvi says wryly as they approach.

Sully, in his own perfect Irish Accent (Unless you were Irish, then you might wonder why he switches from Belfast to Dublin and back again) says "And there ye have it, you want to be bringing the Troubles back?"

The girl, a kinian sighs, then straightens up as Zane appears and looks him over

"Sorry to interrupt, Sully," she says with a smile. "Zane, this is Sully, the man who is behind this towns revival of the performing arts. Sully, I just wanted to show Zane what we're all doing here. The front of the house is looking good, and Alanza is freshening up the paint out front. How're things with rehearsals and casting?"

"Oh, quality not quantity I always says" Sully slips to another accent, perhaps transatlantic, "Gonna be a really big show" Okay now he's Ed Sullivan not that the wilders are sure to know who that is "So this is Zane? Zane? Zane, grab a script"

"Ah..." Zane blinks

"Um...Zane's just visiting, he's not local...." An apologetic look to her friend.

Zane coughs "Nice area though"

"We're just a bit short handed," One troll speaks up, she might recognize him as an assitant to Marsellies "Sully's ready to start abducting folks who step into toad stool rings"
