TXT: Hey! ❤️ Want to let you know that Zane is coming up for a visit today. Want to talk with him a bit, but will bring him to the Fortress after. Any chance we can all go out to dinner tonight? How does the duty roster look?

Colton texts back TXT: Actually, I can arrange that. I'm rotating different soldiers to see how they handle leadership now and then then cleaning up the mess if I need to. Where do you want to go to Dinner?

She texts back with the name of the local diner with the redcap cook.

TXT: Sounds good. ❤️

TXT: ❤️

TXT: Second thought, how about the closer place? Iron Cauldron.

TXT: Even better

She hurries out, hops in her car, and is there in just a few minutes.

She gives a welcoming beep-beep as she pulls up (if she sees him).

He comes up, his mortal side fine, but she notices some chimerical scratches along his leg, not too deep thankfully

"What tagged you?" she asks as he climbs in.

"Chimera in the Dreaming. My own fault really, It tricked me into endangering myself, please don't tell your dad." He slides in and eyes her car interior with amusement.

(Whether it is cluttered and he is amused by that, or immaculate ... and thus equally amusing- your call)

(It's very neat, but with a substantial first-aid kit in easy reach on the back seat.)

"Rookie mistake," she teases him. "Need healing? It doesn't look too bad...."

"Yeah, it sounded like a damsel in distress, not just a rookie mistake, the classic guy trap" A sigh then a smile, though tempered with sadness "I think I'll be fine. How are you?"

"I'm good. Busy, but good. Things are looking up. Hey, you haven't been up here for a visit before, right?"

"No, I don't think I ever have" He confesses

"I know you hadn't visited me, but I wasn't sure about if you'd seen anybody else. Let me take a quick turn through town...I want to drive by and show you the theater." A proud smile.

"The one you've been working your ass off on? Sure" He grins

"I'm mostly doing the coordinating and advertising and stuff. Sully's the one who's really doing the bulk of the heavy lifting to get the show together."

"Oh, so you're ONLY Coordinating, Making sure everyone knows about it 'and stuff'" A smirk "I bet inside your head you're doing a victory lap"

"Oh, no lie, if we actually pull this off, it'll be a major victory...but it looks like it's coming together," she says hopefully. A few turns, and she pulls over to pause, blinkers on, at the side of the road opposite the theater. "There she is. Isn't she a beauty?"

Zane looks over it, "Okay, that's.. kind of classy"

That's when the girl falls from the top of it only to get caught at the last moment by the rope and harness she has set up. She sways side to side
