"Oh oh my gosh sorry"

"Oops." Adam slides over. "You ladies ok?"

"I shall be once justice is had" Veroika says in a grim voice.. too grim, over done, then she says "Obviously I am not goign to avenge myself for an accident. But what are you guys doing?"

"Zane's idea" Alanza says

"And WHOOSH I go, under the bus" Zane mutters

"We're sliding down the halls." Adam explains, then realizes how lame that sounds. "It's.... fun."

Veronika looks "is it? " she looks at her feet "Give me a minute and maybe I can try?"

"Sure, if you want." generously "You needs socks?"

"If I'm wearing socks, everyone is wearing socks for this " Zane insists

Veronokia grins "I have socks" ANd goes to get them

She returns in colorful socks "miss Zara made these for me. So.. witch socks for the win"

"Are they magic socks?"

"Probably not, but they're colorful and warm"

"Magic socks would be cheating anyway" Zane says and kens just to be sure

"Zane, I'm sure Veronokia wouldn't use magic socks to cheat." he sounds faintly scandalized.

"We're clear" He nods

Veronika huffs "At least Adam believes in me" She nods "Thank you, Adam"

"You are very welcome."He nods. "Ladies first....."and he gestures her to the taxiway.

And when he turns away, he smirks just a little at Zane.

Zane flips him off when the girls aren't looking, but then gives a silent laugh. It was a good play

And indeed, Veronika shoots forward with enthusiasm

Adam winks back at Zane; all in good fun, and just recently Adam hasn't been playing these games. Maybe it's a sign of healing.

Or, could just be he's an asshole....

Either way, Zane's glad to see it!

He watches Veronika slide.

Nope, she's not as good as Alanza, socks magicked or not

Doesn't matter. Adam applauds both ladies anyway.

Alanza races forward

and then it's Adam's turn

there are slips.. there are slides

and there is laughter

Adam stays mostly in the moment. Occasionally one of his companions notices he's drifted off to somewhere inside himself, but -mostly- he stays involved.

He slides down the polished wood and stone of the hallways, going for distance and to stay on his feet.

Other wilders walk by, pause, back up, and then ask if they can join in

"Sure!" Adam invites.

He reminds them about socks, and explains any 'rules' (a very loose definition thereof).

Yes, the rules are a bit mroe focused than Calvinball, but not by much

And heck, if any little ones are watching with wistful eagerness off on the sidelines, maybe a junior league needs to be set up?

soon folks are slipping and sliding all over the place at more than one age group! Adam feels a well of satisfaction . Sure, it was Zane's idea, but there is something in his sidhe nature that gains satisfaction from leading the others into this wholeheartedly

It was always there, even if he didn't realize it; even with others didn't realize it. Leading from the front, a tendency to direct others for thier own good and the good of the group. Even now, it isn't so much that he 'takes charge' so much as he allows leadership to settle on his shoulders like a mantle.

And most of the others don't realilze it. Zane could be a leader, aand sometimes when he has to be, he is, but he's happy to turn it over, and usually to Adam. Alanza can be as independent as any eshu, but when with him, sometimes lets him pick a direction to start with. It's.. a responslibity. His Fiona mentors tried to explain, how to lead by example and let them do their own thing but be there when the commoners weren't sure how to make their own thing happen or keep moving

It seems easier now. Maybe because he now looks the part, instead of just feeling it.

It does help. "Your turn, Adam" Alanza calls out "Careful... if you don't stop soon, down the stairs you go"

Adam grins, gives her a thumbs-up, and scuffs the floor with his socks..... and then..... LAUNCH!!

There's a real danger of shooting to ofar and crashing down.. hey is that the pub? is he sure he wants to stop?

Maybe a drink later. Right now the party is pretty PG...

And he hits the brakes, so to speak.. stopping just in front of the steps!

"You nut, you could have launched!" Zane grins
