"You sing pretty, mom" Lily chimes in a whisper

Adam genuinely smiles at that. "Yeah." he seconds.

"Thank you, Stevi has given me some tips" She says and steals one of her husband's cheese sticks.

Years of marital training means he pretends not to notice or at least accepts this as her due

"Stevi's pretty cool." Adam agrees with a grin.

"She's hot" Nab chimes, then says "Whoops"

"She's very attractive" Brenda agrees

"Shhhh...." Adam jostles Nab, but with a grin, teasing.

Nab chuckles

"How are you doing, Nabuni?" Kyle asks

Adam uses the hand of the arm around her shoulders to stroke her arm on that side.

Nabuni seems surprised "Me? I... I'm good I..." she smiles "Well uhm.. I got to see Sir Earl painting which may sound dull but he's really talented and it was amazing to watch it unfold. Bronte and I talked about books, which I really have to confess I'm not much of a reader, and the books I DO read she's too young for but she's so cute so I humored her."

"What books did you talk about?"

"She really loves Bronte, of course, her name sake, but we also talked about Mark Twain. Did you know she met him in the Dreaming? Or a dream of him? Conneticut Yankee in King Arthur's court. I read it..actually liked it"

"Yeah? You think maybe I would?"

"You might, it's a modern man thrust into a feudal time... though he's NOT impressed by them for the most part" She says

"That sounds ok. I'll get it."

Nabuni smiles "Well, I don't know nearly so much as Bronte but if you read it and like it we'll get to chat about it"

"You bet." And he kisses her lips gently.

She returns it. And tries not to let her desire show too much.

Lily makes a face

Nab recognizes the way he inhales; he's not immune to her desire. His own echoes it.

Bondraste says "If you're done eating, Adam, why don't you show Nab your room? She's not been here often"

He is, clearly, done eating; even the little tiny extra-crispy fries at the bottom of the box are gone. "Uh, yeah? Ok, sure. Nab?" checking with her.

"Sure" She says

Adam gets up, gets her chair, and takes her hand to go upstairs and, uh, show her his room.
