"Adam, your father and mother will be here shortly" Bondraste says "They're bringing fast food just because. " She smiles as he seems to be energetic

Adam sniffs, but doesn't lift his gaze from the screen. "Hey."

"Hey , honey" His mom smiles.

"Hi, Son" His father says. It's gratifying that out of the side of his eye, he can see his parents attached.

"Hey." He is.... actually doing schoolwork.

"oh, sorry, didn't mean to intrude on your studies" His mom smiles though "But when you like it, we have the cheese burger and fries you like"

"Cool." He snaps the lid shut and jumps up to join them. "Food?"

"Food." His dad nods "We figured you'd want the cheese burger and fries combo, but we did get onion rings and an apple fritter for variety"

"Either if yours if you want " His mom agrees

"What are you guys eating?" He looks through the bags, curious.

"I got Double Fool Burger " his dad says "And some cheese sticks"

"I got the Queen's Chicken fillet sandwich some salad, and will steal one of your father's cheese sticks" His mother chimes in

"Grandma?" He asks the same of her, looking to her.

"Oh, they brought something called a Minstrel Melt. I was feeling adventurous."

"Cool." He helps divide the loot up and drops into a chair to eat.

"Why thank you, Adam" Says Bondraste as he gets her minstrel melt for her

"Adam's always been a chivalrous sort" His mom says proudly

"I try." He agrees simply.

Lily has her own dish of older food brought in from the freehold. And she swirls it around.

"Lily, don't play with your food" Brenda says

Adam picks up his burger, regards it, and creates a mouth with the buns, moving it around and chomping fries.

Mmm sometimes what's bad for you is EXTRA delicious

Then he takes a bite, throws some fries down after it.

And he sucks on his soda.

"How's weapon's training?" his dad asks

"Pretty good!" He swallows "They said I'm definitely better with the sword, and my staff work is ok. I want to start using a dagger too."

"Good back up weapon" he nods

"There's a sword style, Florentine, where the dagger or a side weapon is, like, part of it. Not a back up." His eyes spark.

"Wow" He looks impressed, "I've heard about that style, not easy. You have to be really agile"

"Adam can do it" lily says actually sticking up for her big brother

"Damn right, Lil." He takes a bite "I mean, I'm not there yet but it's a goal."

"Good goal" Nabuni chirps from the hallway looking amused
