The female redcap looks bruised, and pissed off, and..well, she's tied to a chair.

...Symon double-takes. "Uh, Dirk? Who's your friend here?" Looking around for his dad.

"Symon, would you like some tea?" HIs father says . Symon has never seen his dad enchanted before. It's.. odd , dad's eyes appraise him with judgement

He hesitates, letting his hair fall over his face. "Dad? You can see us..."

"This bitch is Prissy" Dirk says glaring

"Fuck you" Prissy says

"That is enough language, thank you" Dr. Lee says then moves to Symon "Yes, son. I can see you as you are. " He looks at the boy "This explains so much about why you are quiet."

"You're okay?" Checking his dad over for bite marks, poisoned darts, anything.

Not a scratch "Thankfully, Jonas ruse works well" Dr. Lee says "Fine young man."

"Jonas went out wearing dad's face. Lured her out" Dirk jerks a thumb at prissy

Prissy is one of the names of the hires

He hisses at the Redcap, eyes narrowed. "Who hired you?"

"I ain't telling you nothing.." She spits

Dirk rears up his fist . turns out he WOULD hit a girl.

Dr. Lee sighs "Dirk. Stop. Symon. Go get my black bag, the one in the spare office .. I assume you know the lock combinaion"

A glance at his dad... wondering at this unseen side of the quiet surgeon... and he doesn't bother to try to claim he doesn't know it, but fetches the bag.

It takes a moment, and his father takes out a syringe, makes sure it's clean.

PRissy says "What the fuck? You gonna roofie me? Get your kicks that way?"

"I understand the man behind you wants to hurt my wife" Dr. Lee says, getting a dosage, "I happen to love my wife. And you are going to tell me all you know. Either now, or.. in time."

"uh.. Doc?" Dirk says confused "I ccould just beat it out of her"

"This way is more effective" Dr Lee continues "No, Prissy.. I am not going to roofie you. I am going to addict you. Did you know heroin is highly addicive but still used in certain medical procedures? In.. minute traces, of course. It won't take long for you to develop a craving. What will become want will become need. In less than a week, under my regimien, you will be willing to do anything ANYTHING.. to get your next hit. " A tap on the syringe "You'll tell me what I want to know, promise to leave my wife alone... and then.. you'll go off to your life.. doing whatever you have to do for your next fix. I fear it might be..what's the word? Banal? But.." A look at the teenage girl "That's really not my problem? is it?"

Dirk's jaw drops open

Symon's does as well. "Wicked..." he breaths, impressed.

"You're fucking crazy" Prissy says... but she starts to pale

"And it's funny. He can't break the Escheat. A wise man once told me... "if your laws don't protect me- they don't apply to me"." He SMIRKS back to Jimmy.

"No. I am a man in love with my wife" Dr. Lee says "She's a creature of dreams, you see? Special to me, she has kept me very sane for most of my life, brought light into a world of darkness that I fear would otherwise have a very dull and deadly grip on me. Your master is threatening to take the light from me, my only dream that lets me hold on. Insanity is too light a word for the measure of how much I will lash against that, Prissy. I mean you no harm, I truly don't. My sons are born of nightmares too and i am proud of them. But, do you believe in a god? Perhaps, perhaps not ,but you don't have to understand... you will tell me what I want to know, or as God is my witness: I will chain you to misery and want for the rest of your life and I will not shed a single tear"

Jimmy is muttering 'holy fuck holyfuck holy fuck'

Dirk looks torn.. as if he might weaken about something, but then he seems to remember his mom, and glares at the girl.

Prissy glances at Symon, the boy making sense, then to the doctor who maybe the scariest human she's ever seen, and then to Dirk, who looked lik ehe might protest... then suddenly found his monster "FINE FINE... I don't know much. This is my first job"

"The name, please." He asks, with a touch of saccharine sweetness in his whisper.

"THe boggans name is Hobart.. he works for Lord Gildas.." Prissy blurts

"How does Ladmeer come into the equation?" He asks.

"That's Lord Gildas' mortal name you moron!" She snaps

"Oh, I guess I forgot." He smiles thinly.

"How curious" Dr. Lee says then looks to Symon "You're handling this?"

"It's our family business." He nods back to his dad.

"Dirk insists on keeping me Housebound." His father says with annoyance

"YUP" Dirk says but his eyes don't leave Prissy "What do we do with her?" He seems relieved about something

"What did she try to do to Dad?"

"She tried to jump him outside.. only it wasn't him i was Jonas as him." Dirk says "used him as bait"

"Well, we could give her a taste of what she wanted to do to Dad, and let a redcap rip her up. Or we could give her some of the same poison that one of her colleagues was tossing around on darts and dog food." He ponders these options as both very reasonable.

"Can' feed it to her, she'd just eat it" Dirk says knowing that much

Dr. lee ponders "Suddenly our grocery bills make sense." then he looks to Jimmy "Are you knew?"

"I delivered your paper once" he says "And I go to the same school as your sons"

"Ah yes, Jamal." A nod from the Doctor "Good to see you again"

JImmy blinks

"Darts, knives, syringes. Or we let Dad have a go at her after all." He looks to Prissy. "Do you have a preference?"

"Just let me go!" She says "I'm just trying to make a killing, like my Uncle. This was my chance to shine and it's screwed. Okay?"
