A sigh, and he's quiet for a while. "Sorry if you get left out of things. It's not intentional. Not on my part anyways. More, out of sight, out of mind, I guess?"

"It's okay. I've actually got it worse than most piskies turns out, and, well, it does have it's useful. Zane's still a friend, sometimes. " A sigh "I actually miss Adam. He got my name wrong, but at least I got invited to his events."

Then the boy perks up "Course, you thought of me for this, so that's cool. Thanks"

An uncomfortable fidget. "It still seems kinda shitty to call you just because I need help, though. I'll try to be better." Embarrassed, he is looking out the window rather than making eye contact. "Haven't seen Adam in ages. I glimpse him at the farm but he always has this pissed off look so I don't bother bothering him."

"Oh he's gotten better.. I don't know who put the fear of select your favorite holy figure here, but he seems to have realized glaring at everyone then complaining about how unfriendly they are ins't his best bit. And no if you need help, you need help. Right now Adam's at Earth Runes. Guess he's happier with the sidhe set up? " A shrug as he says "Hang on." THey have two 18 wheelers get on either side of him "Geez I hate that. Feels like I'm being swallowed"

A small smirk. "Just squirm through."

"Ha. a slugh mobile would be something" he admits with a grin. THen "how's dirk? I mean, besides terrifying? Before all this he almost seemed.. happy?"

"He seems... content, maybe is a little closer. He likes my dad a lot, I think."

"Your dad is pretty aloof from what I've seen, props to any medico in these times though" They are closing on boston

He checks the time... knowing that bars may only be open later in the day.

Getting towards afternoon

"Need a bathroom?"

"I think I'm good... you? Just wondering if the bar we're going to would be open yet." He checks to see if the dive-y sounding place has posted hours online.

"I don't know, doesn't Boston have like weird laws?" He says "I do need gas though"

"Sure, we can stop. I mean, it's your car, so I'm not gonna try to railroad you." Digging into a pocket to find some cash for gas, he passes a few bills to Jimmy.

"Uhm thanks" Jimmy does not protest and takes the money offered. "Be a sec. You want to go in with me? " As he is paying in cash

"I could hit the head. You want anything to eat or drink?"

"Could go for a Dr. Pepper or Pepsi"

A nod, and with a mask as almost an afterthought, heads into the store portion of the gas station to take care of those things...

Assuming no trouble, he can make a deposit and come back with sodas!

As he's about to come out with his goods when two guys enter. Their own meins shadows over them.

He moves to one side, attempting to slink past with his purchases while giving them a discrete glance.

The stench is..something extra bad. Even to sluagh standards. And he notices their horns are too twisted. They look like satyrs at first glance but ... now, these are their THallian kin. Nasties!

This is not his fight. No fight is his fight, really, not if it means fighting. But knowledge is always helpful. So he 'reads' the label on some other snacks as he listens for just a moment.

and soon, the nasties are starting an argument... pretending to be arguing with each other, just to rile others. Politics, race, anything they can do to get folks going

Folks start to get riled... and.. the whif of dark glamour aarises...angry glamour

there is about to be a ravaging

He wants to run off. He really just wants to slide out that door... but something small and shriveled within him imagines the faces looking at him with disappointment. Tall blue faces, and a shorter, round and motherly face... SIGH. He looks around on the walls for a fire alarm!

And he finds it. Required by state law

Without hesitation, he flips it. To the mortals, he raises his soft voice as best as he can, with a touch of panic. "Fire! Get out!"

Knocking over a standee with snacks, cheetos spilling across the floor for additional chaos.

and they flee.

the nasties turn and look around. What the fuck they seem to be thinking?

Symon also heading towards the exit at his max slink, knocking over a few other things if he can on the way. He looks for Jimmy!

Jimmy's ass is i nthe car "Dude. Did you throw the fire alarm?"

"Drive!" He hisses and hurries into the seat. "Go, go...." Not even waiting for seatbelt as he urges him on.

And JImmy hits the gas! Actually, it's a surprise. Jimmy is a dman good drifver, taking his grandmother's little vehicle and revving that sucker with skill a nocker might envy

A nervous glance out the window behind them...

ANd sure enough... Jimmy and he are being followed by a car full of Thallian who just got cheated

He checks the traffic - other cars around, or is the road empty? Looking for a car that may appear around the same make or model at Jimmy's grandma's grocery-getter.

No luck. But Jimmy snorts "I got this." And breaking at least three laws, guns the engines, swerves between slower cars, and guns it with expertise that is alarming!

Symon BUCKLES THAT SEATBELT.

And meanwhile, is tapping a text!

Even as he drives, he can hear the piskie muttering “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” and the quick silver kicks in

Symon drops the phone into his lap and holds on.

The vehicle now moves at a speed that no car should.. as if sections of the road decided, 'oh sorry boss, didn't see you there'

and the nasties are loss. They're at Boston
