"Well, I guess we'll see." He shrugs, then sways with her. After a bit he kind of starts to hum.

She laughs and moves with him "Are you providing the music and the dance?"

"Is that ok?" he asks.

"I think so, but what will you do when your hummer is muffled?" She says in mock concern

"Depends on how it gets muffled." still grinning.

And she kisses him

They continue to sway, but he looks a little distant, thinking.

She strokes his hair "Penny for your thoughts?"

"Mmm. I was wondering if.... nah. Nevermind." a gentle grin.

"Go on..."

A breath. "Worried about mom and dad."

She nods, eyes softening "I know. But you had an idea how I could help?"

"Not your fault, but last time didn't work out so well? Not saying no, but maybe not yet."

"You want me to possess her and trot her over to Rivervale?" cautious

"No! No. Not like... no. Please don't do that."

"Regretted it as soon as I said it" She admits "Funny, was a time I'd wonder what the big deal was. Now I see that it would be... it would be wrong" She looks perplexed

"It's ok." now he strokes her hair "She has to want to go back."

"Otherwise it's not real enough."

"They love each other, I know they do."

He continues to sway with her, humming sometimes.

She leans against him and sways "You're a romantic."

"They're my parents."

"True." She nods "I hate to do this to you, but you have classes of the boring sort to go to"

He makes a face. "Magic with Magnus?"

"No, like math and English"

Blink. "Huh?"

"You have to graduate?" she reminds

"Why? I mean, what's the point?"

"The..the point is you need it for your mortal life. It's hard enough without a college degree for some. You want to try without a high school diploma?"

"As long as I live here, what do I need that for? I mean.... like I'm going to get a job, work in a burger place or at a marketing firm like dad?" He grins; silly ideas.

And Nab pulls away

"What?"

"C'mon, Nab, I don't like school. I don't -need- to go."

"Anyway, it's practically half way through the school year and I'm in Missouri."

"Adam, you've been taking lessons, mortal lessons And remotely like any other student. I know, I've seen the mentors ask how it goes"

"Yeah, well...."

"AND... I am bonded to you. You think I want to be bonded to an ignoramous?"

"I have pride"

"There's other kinds of smarts than book smarts." He mutters.

"yeah, and those other kinds of smarts still end up asking 'would you like fries with that' at age 35"

"Look, is school going to help me get my Fae soulwhatever to wake up?"

"It might!" She points out "For all you know, one of the Steps is recognition for education of academics. "

"Me!?!"

"The Fates can be bitches some times, Adam." She says as if it's obvious

"For all we know, one of the Steps could be .... like, as far from school as possible!"

"Maybe one of the steps is getting my mom to move back home?"

"I don't think it's that self serving. For now, go to school"

Her tail swishes about like an angry cat

"Does it -really- make that much of a difference to you? It's that important?" He obviously hopes the answer is not.

"Yes. It's very important. I don't like incomplete men."
