The Baron nods, "Such courtesy is much appreciated, Goodman Jerrick, Goodwoman Bri. This barony is rather , shall we say ecletic in it's lay out, and I try not to discourage individuality, but it is a pleasure to know manners are not quite dead for the formalities. Yes, Caesar the Satyr appears to be quite legitmate, no less than four properties have been purchased, though I fear two are taken. "

Zara slides her arm through Earl's - the picture of demure shyness, pale hair trailing across her face.

And he glances over to Earl and Zara and...

demure or not... the auras of the two namers overlap! To some namers, it is almost a brazen brushing of power against power... to others, it is more like playing a fine stringed instrument only to find someone else playing a violin to their cello or vice versa, and still to others it is as if each of them plays both sun and moon, reflecting off each other.

She meets his eyes, though her head stays politely bowed - defiant, proud, stubborn...

And her Demureness is gone "Ah, it is good to see I have other guests" The way he says See is as if she has removed a hood in her facing him. HIs eyes drink something in. He is stronger than she. At least in naming. "How like you Pougkeepsie?" he does not ask their names. He knows them. Of course he does. He has descriptions, but Zara notices the slightest glance to the other two.

A gentle nudge, letting Earl speak.

"A pleasure, your lordship. I do apologize if we've come at a bad time. I know you are well aware how important privacy is to us all. Why, even we common folk rely upon it" A head bow

A twitch of the lip?

"But, of course, all due etiquette must needs be honored."

"Ah, but it does vary so much from culture to culture, doesnt it? We have such a diverse kithain and student body, I have learned one must be willing to bend" The Baron smiles "But yes, one should try"

"Aye. And give what respect is due. Manners maketh man."

Bri is trying not to gape at the sidhe. He is.. succulent to gaze upon. Jerrick doesn't blame her at all if he notices.

Baron Doiléir Rathmist ap Eiluned "And I thank you for the respect you show now, goodwoman" he says to Zara, then nods to Earl and the other two as well, "Indeed, all of you. Do any of you require time by the balefire? My hold is a small thing, but I would not spurn those truly in need."

Her mouth tugs to the side at his show of humility.

"Oh thank you. We wouldn't want to be a burden," The boggan assures. "But if you might mention where one or two of those properites for sale are or..."

The baron says with a gentle nod "You are in luck. I had heard ..." And he names another locale.. one of the adresses.

A low aside to Earl - "Four? He has been busy. I am glad it goes well for him..."

Bri and Jerrick make excuses to with draw. One can hardly blame them for wanting to snatch up a home.

Earl mutters "I think he is making a bit of a proffit on it, but not as much as it could be. That's for sure. "

"Well, it is only fair he make some profit. He still charges a fair rate."

"that's what i mean. I hope he doesn't bankrupt himself" Earl says

Zara nods. Keeping an eye on the Baron.

The other couple withdraws ,adn the baron turns his gaze to them, "Pardon my use of Goodman, Sir Earl. I did not know if you wished your title to be known."

"We are quiet people, sir."

"In many ways, yes" The Baron Doiléir Rathmist says a hint of humor in his eyes. "I see then a 'fuss' is the last thing either of us want."

Without the others there, Zara's chin is held high and proud. Not defiant, per se - but certainly not subservient.

"Quite. I am a student here, and intend to focus primarily on my studies."

"I too am a student of many subjects. I suspect we have more in common than many would guess, Miss Schwartz. "

"Mayhaps."

"I understand you are signed up for one of PRofessor Plumm's classes, how do you like it?" He inquires.

"Ah. Him."

Earl looks at Zara.

"Yes. He did inform me he had the pleasure of meeting you. How like you his class? Since you prefer to focus on the academic and I wish to respect that" The Baron says

"It is well enough. I like the subject matter."

"She's a glutton for knowledge of all manner" Earl says with pride

"Oh? I am something of an academic trencherman myself" the Eiluned smiles, then a tilt of his head, "Sir Earl. Having.. examined some of your art. I would like you to consider a commission if you have time"

A hand squeeze, a slight tensing.

"Forgive me, Baron, but I am , due to the move, behind on many already agreed upon. I can suggest other artists if you'd like a reference?" he says

Earl hopes he has done right and gives a soft reassuring squeeze

"Ah, the loss is mine then, a shame. I would try to compensate you for the extra effort, so do let me know if that situation changes, but no reference needed" Baron Doiléir says

"Of course" Earl says

"This seems a quiet hold."

"Oh yes, quite forgetable" he says "The wonder is the college itself"

A wry look, eyebrow raised. "Aye. Forgettable. I could not think of a better appellation."

"Perhaps new curtains" the sidhe says idly, "Ah, but I digress. Would either of you like haven tonight?"

"No thank you, Baron. We too just wanted to.. pay our respects"

"It is only polite."

"Would that we could all be the soul of courtesy you yourself are, Miss Schwartz." The Baron says "Please, allow me to escort you out. This place can be..confusing at times"

That sense of power, fellow namers... it is hard to be small
