"Mmm. I did enjoy my talk with him. Can you tell me more?"

Across the room, August is taking to a troll in Gwydion colors.

"He's had a lot of other Ailil work with him, including sir nachdain.. not sure I'm pronouncing that right.. "

"Neachdainn," she amends gently. "Have you met him?" A bit of a smile as she catches sight of August across the room.

"Very smooth man, Baroness. And, of course, there's the Eiluned..."

For just a moment, their eyes meet and his light up. The troll with him looks somewhat amused, observing this; he glances at Coradel as well, and comments to August, who nods and turns back to their conversation.

"The Eiluned?" inviting more information.

The boggan would certainly detect the little thrill of pleasure that comes with two truehearts communicating silently.

"Lady Wynda, she prefers Lady to knight or dame... she's a plotter that one, and Ailil IS a house sibling to them." he looks over "Please, baroness, invite your husband over. I'd not keep you apart"

"Oh, I don't wish to draw him away when he's finally doing the social thing," she smiles, but does catch August's eye and tilts her head to invite him over if he should wish. "Which one is Lady Wynda?" she asks the boggan.

...if 'social' is talking to one person off to the side of the room....

...for August, yup...

"oh, he's talking to Sir Durnor, one of the Duke's most loyal knights"

"Sir Durnor," she echoes, to remember the name. "I do not think I have heard of his deeds."

"oh quite a few. Trolls can be modest but he slew a Manticore when very young"

"Truly! I should like to meet him. But first...you mentioned a Lady Wynda? She is here?"

"Oh, there" he chin points to a slim woman in black and Silver, sidhe.. no warrior judging by her lack of tone though she is slim and perfect yes.

"I thank you, Juan." She puts a hand on the boggan's shoulder and gives him a smile.

He blushes

Then says "Ah, forgive me. I see folks eying my tray. I should go tend to them"

She plucks up another little snack before he goes, and then wends her way across the floor to August and Sir Durnor.

"I hope I'm not interrupting," she says, interrupting.

"No, your husband was just about to seek you out" Sir Durnor says

"Coradel." he smiles "May I have the honor of introducing Sir Durnor?"

The troll bows "Baroness."

He takes Coradel's hand and kisses her knuckles, then says to the troll "Sir, Baroness Coradel ap Fiona, of EarthRunes."

OOC make that make sense.

Coradel smiles at the kiss, then passes the snack to August with her free hand. "Brought you a nibble, my love," she says with a wink. Then she turns to Sir Durnor and nods her head in return. "Sir Durnor, I have heard your name. And I believe...something about a Manticore?"

He takes the nibble, just a faint pink around the neck. "Thank... Manticore, Sir?"

"Oh, that old thing. " He shrugs "Yes. I've had more difficult duties but that's the one some make a fuss over"

Bemused. "Silly, the trifles that people will latch onto."

"It must be an epic tale. Has it been taken down?"

"Sadly... yes" He sighs "We have a troubadour. The woman's a menace" Glum

"Ah. Well, I will take your word for it. And, comfort that your deeds have not been lost to memory."

"I must track down this troubadour," Coradel says with teasing delight.

"Unless, of course, you wish to be in control of the story we hear first?"

"Well. there was a Manticore. There was a fight. I bested it. There was some healing after. " He says as if ther'es not much more to it than that "I am sure there are more interesting subjects to discuss. Your husband was telling me your horses are rather impressive?"

"Oh, yes! They're one of EarthRunes' prides. Do you ride, Sir?"

"The, ah, the Duke seems to favor racing. So Sir Durnor tells me."

"Not as expertly as his grace, but some yes" A nod to August

"The Duke, yes, I've heard this...hm, does he often host races?"

"Pennons and some other moments..."

"Mmm." She nods, thoughtful. Then, "Sir, I hope you will not think me very rude, but there is somebody that I'd like the Baron to meet, if you'll excuse us?"

"Hardly rude. It was a pleasure meeting you" He inclines his head

"Sir." a bow back "A pleasure to have met you."

"And you, Sir." A half-curtsey and a smile, then she draws August away.

And August is drawn.

Coradel leans close and murmurs in his ear, "I've managed to make contact with several interesting figures, but I think we should meet this one together. Lady Wynda, of House Eiluned. Apparently a schemer."

He looks at her sideways "And you -want- me to meet her?"
