There before her is a mink, well, a mink pooka, dressed very nicely

"Good day to you," she says, fetching up a fresh drink from a passing server's tray.

She is a pretty girl, about 16, "You're the most amazing lady in the universe, prey thee? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to have a geniune mink about your neck? Asking for a friend!"

A light laugh. "Oh, I have had many lovely things about my neck. Tell me, what is the name of your friend?"

"Eglantine" She preens "And she'd make a lovely squire, or personal handmaiden"

"Would she, now? Well, she comes with your reference, it seems, but has she any others?"

She pulls out a paper and offers it over

on it, a list of ' references'

A blink. "You certainly are prepared." She takes the paper and scans it, ready to be amused.

"Boffo, Socko! Would see again! Dukey Topaz" "This squire goes up to 11 -High King Davey" ""So sleek, so fair, with managable hair... a must hire-Dame Kerri meback" "Got my elegance in 30 minutes or less- Baron Aiden Wolfsilver"

she may notice they all seem in the same hand writing

"Truly, impeccable references," she says with a barely contained grin as she hands the paper back. "But why would you...pardon, why would your friend seek service at a Barony when you are here, at the Ducal seat?"

"Sadly, some folks are so anti Fur that they won't think mink for even a second"

"Here? Truly?" Coradel takes a look around, certain that she'll see at least some pooka in service.

While she sees a pooka juggling, it looks a bit light on the kith otherwise

"Hm. What's that all about," she murmurs to herself, just loud enough to invite the pooka to voice an opinion, if she wishes.

Eglantine ponders this , sighs "I like pie?"

"Well...EarthRunes is already very well staffed. What talents might we be talking about?"

"I look great on your neck?" Hopeful

"Sweetling, surely you have some skills beyond attractiveness?"

She sighs, looksleft, looks right, and then begins to play 'too sexy for my shirt' with her armpit. the fart like sounds musically fill the area

A bright laugh, and she pats the pooka on the shoulder. "Let me think on it,"

"You are as wise as you are fiery" She beams

"And you are very perceptive." A wink, and she sips her drink and moves away.

"would you care for snack?" a tray carrying boggan offers

"Oh, lovely, what have we here?"

She selects something delectable-looking, and then checks to see that Eglantine is out of earshot before murmuring to the boggan, "Tell me, what do you know about that mink pooka I was just speaking with?"

"New girl, seems to lie by flattery, not the opposite per se, but over done. '

"New, as in recent chrysalid?"

"Just to the area. " the boggan says

"She hasn't been any trouble?"

"No more than any other pooka" he says "Less than some"

She looks at the boggan and nods. "Well, thank you, that's very helpful..." a pause. "I do not know your name."

"I am Boggan 1-K..." he says, then smiles "that's a joke, baroness .. my name is Juan Kaye. you're welcome. If there's anything else i can do for you, please let me know. I sense a bit of tension in the court for you, but it's.. hard to read yet. But I know you're a good woman and while i serve all nobles, I try to help good people"

"How kind of you, thank you, Juan." Tension, hm? "One last thing: I would love a bit of your insight about who is the key mover and/or shaker in this particular crowd. Outside of the Duke and Duchess, of course."

"I shouln't but... well.." His eyes scan the crowd and he takes a breath to give his view
