"So very very true."

"Do we have plans for Beltaine yet? I know it's a bit soon"

"Ah. Well. I assume the usual sort of day? May Day type activities, picnics if the weather allows, that sort of thing?"

"A few sparring events possibly. Temerity is pushing for it. Leonora thinks there should be a kissing both"

"There usually is." with a sigh.

"I'm not looking forward to seeing Vince in a booth either, my lord. He always looks sulky if one passes him by" Sympathy

"I admit I'm more comfortable with a spiritual form of love on those occasions but it's not entirely in keeping with the holiday."

"Mmm maybe we could incorporate some of that anyway? A charity fund raiser tied to it to help those who are in need and cannot be there to share our joy?"

He nods "An excellent.... idea....." he trails off a little, thoughtful.

"Hm."

"I wonder.... "

"Sounds like you have a target for the charity?"

"Oh... I can think of a few. No, I was wondering if... depending on what our investigation shows... Beltain might not be the most auspicious day to address Mrs. Shaw. It is a terrible burden to live with such insecurity."

"Well, it is a powerful time for love" he ponders "Yes, it might be..'tuned' right?"

"Perhaps. Sir Almandine would know better, but..."

"Still, worth considering" he nods

"Just so. If there were a way to ... help her grow secure in herself, in her ability to love and the right and privilege to be loved in return... do you think that might help the college student I mentioned?"

"Well I don't know either woman, but possible"

He nods thoughtfully. "I will speak with the Seer on it."

The knight nods, and sips some tea

"My apologies, Sir Ivory; I have been most inconsiderate. How do you fare?"

"Oh nothing inconsiderate at all. I've been looking for ways to keep busy but it seems I tend to fall behind the other Bannerhouse brothers and sisters. I did get to see Gwen, pardon, Dame Gladiola on mondays, she'ss thriving though I fear she does not always agree with Liam ideas.. makes sense as she's now Daireann. My dreamers are few. I've been working on that but I'm just not that ..social?"

A soft chuckle. "I -do- understand but think of it as quality over quantity."

"I hope to" he smiles "One fellow I know is a lego fan, he really can make a lot of things out of them and does hard work. A bit autistic, but functionally so..."

He shows August some pictures of his dreamer's work, is that the A Misummer Night's Dream.. done in Legos?

"That's wonderful." he murmurs appreciatively.

"Yes, he's in the running for a contest.. a 500 dollar gift certificate from Lego. I hope he wins. He needs the confidence boost"

August nods. "You might consider helping him to manage his own expectations and take delight from his work, however it is viewed by others."

"i'm trying to stress what an amazing job he did in and of itself" he nods

"The right approach, I think."

Sip

"I believe so too... though he does enjoy the praise he's getting for his work from the comment section"

"Understandably."

"I was thinking of asking him to help me set up a display for the childlings some time. One meant to be played with after it was shown"

August is quiet a moment. "You might consider including Lord Hume? As appropriate?"

"That's.. a good notion. " A nod "He's a fine young man, but sometimes misses the human side of things. This might be a way to open him up to those"

"And, just a suspicion, but he might enjoy Legos."

Realization "Oh he might at that. Wow. How did I not realize that?"

"I'm sure you would have."

"In time, maybe"

"I am sure of it." August repeats. And sips.

A tappity-tap at the door. "August?" Coradel's voice.

August's face lights up and he stands. "Come in!"

Ivory makes his manners and departs; he knows what he knows.

Coradel nods pleasantly to Ivory as they pass, then she moves to August with a smile. "Hello, my love. Not busy?"

He approaches her at the same time. "Never too busy."

"Good." She greets him with a kiss...a lingering one.

Which is returned, his arms sliding around her to hold her.

"Mmm..." A pleased sound, indeed. When their lips part, she plays a bit with the little curl that will always drape over his brow. "What have you been up to?"
