The Seer looks up from his desk

"You wanted to see me?"

"I do, if I'm not interrupting?"

"WHile i Have some projects 'simmering', as it were, I'm not currently busy no." he rises "What can I do for you, Baron?"

August enters and shuts the door behind him. "I'm faced with a challenge; a mortal of my acquaintance who has a neighbor alleging unkind things about her. I believe the neighbor's grievance is rooted in insecurity. I'd had the thought that Beltaine might be an auspicious time to take action on it, to try and relieve that insecurity and help this neighbor understand that everyone, including herself, deserves both the privilege and the responsibility of loving and being loved in return and all without judgement.... I wondered what your thoughts on the timing were."

A brow lifts

August waits.

"Beltaine is a time of love and romance for changelings, and some would say Peace and Friendship for all..." He looks up, consulting the star chart "The stars aren't working against you, but you do understand MY foccus is not sons of Adam or Daughters of Eve?"

"I do."

"Do you have any thing tied to the mortal in question? Something I can use as a link?"

"Oh, no. No, I didn't mean to take action at this time. Just your professional opinion about the timing of a magical working on mortals to help them love. To find love in each other again, and feel secure enough to allow others to love."

"In my professional opinion, it's a good time to try it, but the influence is weaker on the banal such as sons of adam and daughters of eve"

"I see." he's not the strongest student of magic but he knows the basics "Of course.... Enchantment might ease that."

"Of course, there is the social difficulty. You're expected to be HERE Beltaine. "

"I wouldn't miss it."

"Ah" A nod "Well, then, you have my brief if somewhat hasty, but still educated opinion. Unless there is something else?"

"No. My apologies for the disturbance. Thank you for your time." and August shows himself out.

And the seer gets back to work

August goes to see if Lord Hume is as busy as the Seer.

Lord Hume is often in his room, so when August knocks there, he calls out "Yes?"

"Lord Hume, do you have a moment for me? It's August."

"Baron? Oh... one second" sounds of typing

Then the door opens "What can I do for you?" His room is... surprisingly, spotless. A laptop is on the bed

"I have come to ask another favor."

"I would be in your debt."

"Oh," He says, he doesn't seem surprised, but not offended "Do you need tech support?"

"Of a sort. Information."

"Go ahead, please" he's listening. His fingers possibly twitch to grab a smart phone or tablet, but he has been told how rude that is

"I'm looking to learn more about the Shaws..." he gives the address "I have some of the basics but I'm hoping especially to learn more about Mrs Shaw's interests and habits, what motivates her and her background."

"It may take a day, but I can work on hacking her accounts and spying on her internet use" He nods

August looks awkward, embarrassed "Is that... ah, is there anything.... illegal about that?"

"oh, highly" he nods

but doesn't seem bothered "By man's laws, not fae"

The baron looks pained "I just... I'm looking for the kind of things her friends might know about her, or coworkers; Information she'd share with people she knows. Not anything embarrassing or salacious."

"Well, okay. I could try more open means via social media.. she's already on that. Mmm "

"It's not... immediately urgent. Not an emergency."

"When would you like it by then?" He says curiously

"Oh, as soon as is convenient."

"I'll get to it tomorrow" He nods

"Thank you." He offers a bow, and withdraws.

Hume bows back, well, kind of, clicking spine and all

and off August goes
