Such enigmas are one of her fortes, if this was a laser grid she would be the jewel thief it had reason to dread. Yet it will not easy

That wouldn't be as fun!

She checks for symbols or ciphers - things that might indicate what protections are on the book.

Subtle warnings, markers to let folks know this a dangerous tome, not for apprentices

Fair enough, that...

And then, she might smile, not a rune or anything, but in the pattern of the book, if you look very carefully, one can see the words After all, it's not as if it is a tame book

A soft chuff.

She traces a circle around the book in chalk, building a seal.

Yes, hand to surface contact seems dangerous

Well, she's about to Omen it, so there's NEW risks involved!

"How about we get acquainted, aye?"

"I wish to be friends."

It doesn't respond, but the chalk is around it.

And it's ready for the omen, she hopes.

She begins writing - names within names, scribing out a crossword-like grid with every name for a book she can think off. Book connects to 'kitab' to 'libre' to 'sefer'...

As the magic takes hold, it opens her hand to draw and scribe what she sees...

The image that flashes are words are symbols forbidden, like fruit from Eden, fire coming down olympus, and oddly a nude man laying behind a Lion as music plays

ANd Zara gets input from that, she catches herelf whispering 'my name is Zara, but I am also known as' and she catches herself!

Wait, is it trying to sain her the more she learns from it? It starts with use names, then eventually, might pluck her name!

She follows the Silver... which seems oddly purple.
