Dame Gladiola ap Daireann steps out of the trod and grinns "That was wild"

The Native American troll's spear draws some eyes, but she doesn' wield it in a fighting stance.

A chimerical spider drops down on a silver thread, watching

"Hail to you, kin to the grandmother, thank you to you and yours for holding the world together. I don't suppose you know where I might find the Baron or Baroness?"

Septa lands on her LEFT shoulder and taps it.

"Thank you" She moves that way.

The spider is a good guide!

So good that the knight is soon led to the Baroness's audience chamber. Court doesn't seem to be in session, though there are a few people milling about, and the Baroness is in her seat on the dias, going over some details with the herald.

Gladiola puts the spear respectfully in the hands of a thane, then goes forward and waits to be noticed. There are taller trolls, but Native American coloration mixing in the kithain hues? And the skin seemingly made of stone, with green and silver save for a black sash with a silverwolf design upon it

It doesn't take long for Coradel to notice the rocky-skinned knight. "And who is this?" she says, turning from the last paper that Innish was having her look at.

"Dame Gladiola ap Daireann, From the Silverwolf Barony," She speaks clearly and proudly "You may know me better as Gwen, a friend of Sir Ivory, Baroness?"

"Dame Gladiola? Well, welcome to you." Her smile is dazzling. "Do you come on some business from Silverwolf?"

"I had hoped to learn more of House Daireann from your library, which is most renowned. Silverwolf has been blessed of late, on the night of my saining we gained not one, but two new fledges from Dream Dance that very night. Da'an has shown a favor in that. One of them is a sidhe but his house is not known, yet, we hoped one or both of our fledges might visit sometime also to research? And.. I wished to thank Sir Ivory for his continued kindness on monday musing lessons." A pause "If I may observe? Your hold has good people, Baroness"

"A saining and two fledges, all at once? Quite the windfall for your Baron and Baroness, indeed!" At the compliment to her people, she smiles and nods. "The very best, yes, thank you. I'd be happy to give you access to our library, should the librarian have the time and inclination to assist you, or perhaps Sir Ivory would be willing to continue his lessons by giving you a tour there?" If there's a suggestion of anything more in the bemused look she casts in Sir Ivory's direction as he enters the hall, well, maybe that's merely imagined.

Sir Ivory bows, "Would be willing. Miss Zara may be there. I am not sure. Gwen.. pardon me, Dame Gladiola is a fine young lady. "

The troll blushes VERY briefly.

"I have no doubt of it," Coradel says easily.

"Will you be staying with us for a time, Dame Gladiola? If so, the steward can see that a room is available."

"If my training in courtly manners pleases, then credit should go to the Baron and Marigold," At the offer "You're too kind, but the trod I used is only open on mondays so I must head back before the day is over but hope to enjoy sometime here." A thought "Oh, and I'm remiss, Baroness Nadeen said she looks forward to seeing you and Dame Leonora soon at the Auction she's holding. Now that she rules by the Baron's side, it is a bit hectic, but she believes it will be on Schedule"

"Oh, lovely! Yes, word had gotten around about some upheaval in the leadership there. The Baron..." a smile "...he is a very generous man. I hope that he and the Baroness are happily paired?"

A light blush "In point of fact, they are. Though you're among the first to hear of the goodnews in this kingdom"

A studious-looking Sidhe with long-ish dark hair pulled back into a pony tail walks in; somehow, he avoids colliding with anyone else. Perhaps it's due to his long years of reading while he walks, or perhaps it's because the others in court know to avoid him beforetime.

"Am I? Perhaps officially. But thank you for bearing the news. I will have a letter of congratulations prepared for you to bring them on your return."

"Thank you, Baroness," She bows again, the 'officially' comment not lost on her. When she sees August, and how others nod and bow to him, she does the same

"Oh, August! Come and meet our visitor from SilverWolf, Dame Gladiola."

"Mm?" He looks up with grey eyes that light up when he sees Coradel. "I was bringing you those notes....." he says as he approaches and then bows to the visitor "Dame Gladiola. Welcome."

"Baron August, an honor" A pause then "Sir Ivory does your Bannerhouse proud, if I may be bold as to tell you both something you most likely already know?" A nod to the Baroness as well

She touches August's hand gently as he passes the notes, and smiles at Gwen's compliment to both her husband and Sir Ivory.

"I do wonder, though..." her expression shifts to puzzlement "...if you were expecting some danger in approaching us?"

August nods agreement with the offered praise of Sir Ivory.

"Not here, Baroness, but it was my first time on a trod alone as I was sained for it . Well, not alone," She admits with a glance to a corner where Ivan waits, "But I definitely wanted to bring my spear in case the silver acted funky"

"Of course." She nods, also noting the look to the...good heavens, that's a dog?

It looks like a small bear, and.. maybe not that small a bear

"Well, congratulations on your first trod venture, as well. Perhaps we will meet later for tea and you can share what you think of the library."

A nod to Sir Ivory.

It looks as though Coradel is ready to move on to the next matter, namely the notes that August has handed her.

She bows , "As it pleases, thank you Baroness" And she steps back looking at Sir Ivory

Sir Ivory bows tto the Baroness, then says "This way, Dame" He leads her off

She picks up her spear and takes the dog with her.

A smile to them both, then she stands. "My love, would you care to go over these with me privately?" She indicates the notes...and the door to the private chamber.

"There's really not much to them, they do agree with what was presented in cour...... ah." he is stopped by the look she's giving him "Yes. Of course. It would be my pleasure."

"Oh, good." A playful smile, and she takes his arm as she steps down from the dais. The loving couple vanishes into that private chamber to...ah...consult.
