"We need to report to the baron" Tylar says, now wearing a very nice set of voile

"Yes," his lady whispers, then turns to Tylar "Tylar, we have succeded in our quest. I am so.. giddy, it's unseemly. All in my life is going well. I need you to do me a favor?"

"Anything" he blurts

"you must... spurn me" She explains, "You must break up with me..." her face intense

"What?" the boggan lad blinks "I'm.. what?? Why..do you WANT to break up?" he looks to be reeling

"Of course not," she explains then her eyes shine "But ..the heartbreak I feel will rob me of the giddyness, I shall have tragedy in our triumph, a thorn for the garden of joy, I shall have cutting agony with the pleasure of victory. I shall pine for you, struggle to win you back perhaps, or perhaps I will long for you from afar..."

Tylar crosses his arms "Absolutely not."

She seems surprised, "But.. but tragedy in triumph?" She says again, perhaps if she repeats it, he'll grasp

"I am not breaking up with you," Her fellow squire states in a manner that to her seems tyrannical, "especially when we both still care about each other, our relationship is better than ever and I'm giving up on that just so you go around weeping or plotting a lover's revenge"

"Tylar, I am young," She protests, "What if, fateforefend, this is true love found early, that one in a thousand storybook romance? HOw am I to ever know the sting of regret, the ache of heartbreak? Do I not deserve a chance to protest bitterly how all men are the same and are hateful creatures, only to slowly learn to trust anew ?"

"WE are young, and if we break up, and I Hope we don't, but IF we must, I hope we remain friends for all our days and each cheer the other onto find someone that cares for them," Squire Tylar points out with almost offensive niceness and practicality, "I am not 'breaking your heart' just so you wallow around in the shadows for weeks on end . It'll either be melodramatic and I won't buy it, or I'll think you really are hurting and feel terrible. Nope. Not doing it"

She stamps her foot softly, "You're being very selfish, Tylar"

He straightens his ascot, "Yup. And no shame in it"

"At least," She fumes "Say something hateful or hurtful to me?"

Tylar sighs, then looks at her, "Fine. For a sluagh, you don't always pull off the gothic look well, or at least not the classic gothic colors. Frankly, I think you would look best in certain shades of pink..." When she gasps, he goes on, "And not that 'wilting rose' pink either, I'm talking light but Vibrant, even bright"

Her mouth falls open at this "I do not"

Then she looks ready to whimper "Surely not bubble gum pink?" The term bubble gum is just so.. damn perky sounding ,and the shade is.. well there ARE worse but...

he snaps his fingers "That might work great, but.. I was thinking.. cotton candy.. fresh, fun, and bright"

"Thy parents conceived thee out of wedlock!" she whispers at his back as he starts to head out

"Sorry, honey, I couldn't hear you back there..." He calls back as she heads out in the hallway

"ooooo" she whispers and follow... muttering to herself with indignant fury

A dazed teenage girl sits up right, feeling like she's been here forever. The banality is gone, the tramau done. She is herself again, a changeling, and awake.

She remembers, she was saved by a hero...a bold lord

She moves about the chamber, it's..very grand. "I'm being treated like a princess"

Of course they've forgotten her, that's her Kith's nature. She looks into a mirror, olive skin, silver hair, a piskie's 'natural' look but she was warned she was a bit too pretty to ever be a master at blending. An odd price to bear.. she'll blend in soon enough....indeed, she'll take a look around

And just like that, she does. Looking more and more like one of the staff, a maid on a mission perhaps, or a courier ... even the spiders scarcely pay her any heed.
