Rachel turns to look at you "is everything okay?"

"I wanted to check on you; you're settling in? Feeling ok?"

"Yes ,lord, the room's like a fairy tale.. well it would be, of course... I swear the pillows are like fluffy clouds SHOULD feel"

"I'm glad of that."

"Rachel, I have a favor to ask of you."

"Anything, you saved my mind and body"

"Fontaine and Countess Jessica did." he reminds her with scrupulous honesty "And Coradel was the driving force behind it all. Rachel, I need to ask you for some discretion."

"Discretion? Oh.." She seems to catch on quickly "Ignorance can be bliss when fairies leave their myths"

"That's... one way to put it, yes. You see, we have rules. Laws, really. And maintaining our secrecy is a big one. Right now, you're enchanted; you've been giving Glamour which allows you to see us as we are."

"But I won't remember , not with my waking mind, will I?"

"It will wear off, eventually." he confirms "No, you won't."

"But.. surely I'm allowed to talk with other faire folk?"

"Yes. Yes. Ah. But if you do, take care about what you say." he asks "I would hate for you to reveal more about yourself than is wise."

"oh.. not everyone here is a.. friend, is that what your'e saying?"

"I would hate to think there is anyone at EarthRunes who is not a friend. But you -are- a threat to the Right of Ignorance."

"I'm sorry I.. didn't mean to endanger anyone it's just.. all so amazing. Lords of the Hill, hearth spirits... giants."

August nods. "I understand, I do. Your mother can see us too, you know."

"It runs in the family lines.. somehow I know that mother was brought in once she married father.. Da'an molds us and gathers us by the ancient pact"

A bright knock on the door!

"Which is something I.... ah." it's her room; August waits for Rachel to get it.

She opens the door, and gazes at a face that once belonged to a woman who put her in a coma, "So that's what she looks like when improved upon. " She curtseys

"Ah. Coradel. Rachel, please allow me to present Coradel Truthbranch." he smiles as he approaches.

Coradel looks thrilled to see her not only here but standing and healthy. "Rachel!" She reaches to take her hands. "You look wonderful!"

"Thank you" One of her hands bears the Truthbranch mark.

"And you are every bit the fairie queen.. pardon, baroness I could ever imagine. Please come in"

Coradel accepts the invitation and enters, smiling to August.

"Those healing baths are miraculous!"

"Fontaine, the water man, he needed to sleep after he helped me. I feel a bit guilty about that"

"I owe Renaissance a great debt."

"We both owe Renaissance," Coradel corrects August. "I must tell your mother."

"Ah, I thought.... perhaps Rachel could call her mother. When she's ready."

"I know the story is I'm healing in a special clinic? Is there anything I should use?"

"Oh. Well...she knows us as new friends. I'll call and let you speak with her. I might recommend sounding weak and weary. She knows we were helping, but she doesn't know how."

"Ready?" she says, taking out her phone.

"Understood, and..ready"

Coradel nods, and dials. She smiles at the others as she waits for Monica to answer.

"Hello? Monica Castle here"

"Monica! It's Catherine," she says with a gentle emphasis. "I have good news."

"Oh yes? Is it about rachel?" the phone asks

"It is. The facility we discussed took her in, and...well, let me let you speak to somebody."

"Hey mom" Rachel puts a bit of wobble in her voice "It's me. I'm.. awake"

Exciteed sounds from the phone now in Rachel's hands. That go on for a bit

Coradel beams delightedly.

Then she mouths to Rachel, Keep it short.

"i'm fine mom, they're taking the best care of me... I'm catching up slow on current events, some of which I cannot believe, but here it's.. it's like storybook"

more chatter...

then Rachel nods "Yes, and Weatherly too. Please, all my love. I'm sorry mom" she feigns a yawn "getting tired. You'd think Ihad enough sleep right?"

tutts and fusses

And then "Love you too." And.. the call ends
