"Ah..." She thinks. "We wish to know why Weatherly bears so much in common with August, and whether this has any bearing on how we may assist Rachel. I do not know if that is sufficiently specific."

"And, Baron August?" No snark here, respect due

August takes a moment, then agrees with Coradel although he rephrases it slightly. "How can we best help Rachel Castle?"

Coradel nods at the revision.

He mixes some powders and petals into the bowl , then some water and stirs it

She moves closer to watch.

"Double Double, is it toil or is it trouble? Patterns form in the leavings, a dream a message, fate is heaving. Grant us the words, the task complete, grab thy wisdom, and across the voiid.. .. YEET" he tosses it a bit and catches it in the bowl

A bemused look at the seer. But she doesn't interrupt.

"Damn.. not much" A frown "Just a reafirmation she must be safe. I could try to unleash, but it's ..dangerous"

"Dangerous?" Coradel doesn't mind the danger for herself, but this involves August....

"To Rachel?" August's concerns are clear.

"I don't think so, to me... and maybe you two as we're in the area of the unleashing"

Coradel looks to August. She has no concerns for herself, but for him....

"You should wait outside, August. It's safer."

"I will if you will." he says evenly.

She frowns....she really wants to watch this....but relents. "Fine." Then to Almandine, "Is there anything I can do to ease the danger to you?"

"Not really, my lady. If I call for help break in and save the day that sort of thing"

"But of course. We'll be just outside the door."

And with that, she leads August outside.

Decem wavers, and detaches to watch the seer!

Coradel seems not to have even realized that Decem was there.

From inside, there's a mighty SURGE OF GLAMOUR... flow, a reading gone MAAAAD!

and a groan

Coradel looks to August. "He said a cry for help. Not a moan." She shrugs and waits.

"It's done" ANother groan

"Ah!" A pleased tone, and Coradel opens the door. "It went well?"

August appears as a calm mask, and enters with Coradel.

In webbing EVERYWHERE... there's a giant message

"They're.. they're a family descended from an ancient fairie friend... " The Seer groans

Coradel's eyes are wide. "Oh, my...."

"Which .. might explain wwhy Da'an shaped them even before they were born.."

August ges the Seer a glass of water, and goes to support him.

Coradel lets the seer get a drink before she demands, "What pact? With whom?"

"The castles, and I think.. the truthbranches.. from the before time"

"But what is the nature of this pact? What needs to be honored?"

"You have to help them. HOW you help? Not so sure"

Coradel turns to August urgently. "That settles it. It is not an option, August. We must get her out of there and do the best we can to restore her!"

Poor Decem looks exhausted

.... or she would, if any one saw her?

August nods with grim determination. "Yes.We must."

And THAT settles that

Coradel authorizes a week of relief from duty for the seer. "Get some rest!" she calls out as she and August leave his quarters.

August follows.

"So... Hume gave us the mother's contact infrmation. Perhaps we should visit her together?"

August gives her a struck look. "That's not... I mean, won't that shock her??"

"Shock her? Two people concerned about her daughter's welfare? Why would we shock her?"

"Coradel.... I'm her son's doppleganger."
