"Do you think there -could- be some tie between us, though?" August asks, referencing the uncanny similarities that seem to plague them. "Or.... do you think your parents might know if there is?"

"I..." he looks surprised "I have no idea"

"Oh...that's a thought!" 'Catherine' nods.

"I mean, no offennse but couldn't it just be coincidence?"

"I wondered that. But...same birthday? And I've seen the baby pictures...." She moves her head in an equivocating manner. "I think 'coincidence' is a long shot."

"Wait, you found out my birthday and looked up my baby pictures?" A look at the two, "You realize if I were a girl this is where I'd be texting my friends for an escape plan rigght?"

"Don't blame August," she waves it off. "He mentioned the similarities, and I got curious. Totally on me!" she smiles charmingly.

Weatherly holds up his hands in a 'what am I gonna do?' gesture "Okay I didn't know we had the same birthday, but I'm pretty sure mom would have warned me if she had twins a the same time, even fraternnal ones, and I have pictures of her inn the hospital holding me"

"It's bizarre. Maybe...oh...what's your mother's maiden name?"

"Oh, sorry, I swear, NOT looking for your passwords!"

She laughs!

IT's a good thing Coradel -aka Catherine is adorable because otherwise Weatherly might be easing away

August remains quiet, sipping his tea, letting Coradel work her own so-unique magic.

"Maiden name.. ah.. let me think"

"I'm just wondering, maybe your mothers are related, y'know?"

"Bronson, no relation to the Actor" He says

"Monica Coradel Bronson Castle" Weaherly sums up "Sound familiar?"

She looks to August with a question on her lips, then gives Weatherly a startled blink!

She's actually rendered speechless for a moment.

August goes a little pale.

She clears her throat, takes a sip of her drink, then says, "What an unusual middle name!"

August drinks in tandem.

"Yeah, to this day she's not sure why grandma gave it to her. She always just used Monica" A nod

A blink. "Ah, yes. Honestly, the oddest coincidences. August? Is your mother a Bronson? I don't remember."

August recovers enough to say. "No. Her maiden name was Emily Tolley."

"Whew! Somehow, that feels like a close call!" Another laugh.

"Okay I don't mean to be rude, but you guys are odd..." Weatherly asks, "You knnow that right?"

She tilts her head curiously. "In what way?"

"You seem more interested in my family history than I am for one" He reaches into his cell phone "I've got like two family photos in here."

"And i wouldn't have those if my sister wasn't in the state she was" he adds

Coradel shrugs. "I think it's kind of odd that you're not interested, given the similarities," she indicates August.

And if he offers his phone to show the pictures, she looks.

"See, there's my mom, dad, me and sis, We were just kids then... and honestly I didn't notice until you guys mentioned it"

If August had been a childling sidhe, it would look like this younger Weatherly, though Auggust has a darker shade of hair

But what really catches Coradel's eye is that.. Monica looks like HER. the vibrant red hair, the flashing eyes... like her , as a mortal older woman, but still well before middle age

"That's...a lovely family," she says vaguely. And she makes sure August can see. "Okay, I'm absolutely dying of curiosity about this. Is there any chance I could meet your mother? I know you said she's distressed, but...perhaps this little mystery might provide a momentary distraction?" Again, that easy charm.

It's a good thing that charm is in "I suppose. She needs to get more social interaction anyway"

"Lovely! Perhaps we could take you both out for dinner? I don't know what's good around here...."

"And your father, too, of course, if he's available."

"I'll call them. Dad prefers steak places. Are either of you Vegan?"

"Not at all!" she says happily. "I love a good steak!"

"Well I suggest " He'll name a place "And make some calls"

"Wonderful. I'll make the reservations." She's already tapping the restaurant name into her phone and making arrangements.

And so it is underway

The High Steaks steak house has five locations in America... onne of them is Vegas where it got its start, hence the gambling motiff. This one is in St. Louis

August and Coradel show up first... with brand new clothes

"This looks fun," Coradel says, taking August's hand as they walk up to the entrance.

"It certainly holds promise." He's been quiet; and she knows he's tense and on edge.
