The spiders are in a tizzy. They can't get in Leonora's room!

Soon, over the door , in webbing, is the word 'RUDE'

August wanders past, looking over some notes. He glances up periodically, an old habit to keep from walking into walks. Thus, he sees the spider's message.

It's excellent calligraphy

He frowns.

He goes to the door and knocks.

Leonora opens the door "August? Everythinng okay?" She wears a night robe

Of course, Leo is also facing August through the RUDE web...

"Oh dear" she looks up then laughs

"I didn't mean to interrupt, my apologies. I just wondered if... well, what this was all about." he gestures to the web between them.

"I think i's the ward I had to block folks from entering if they have more than 2 legs" A smile

"Ah." he gets it "Well. I can have a word with them if you like."

"no no" She wipes the web, "I don't know if Zara sent them or they're on their own,.. but either way she'll have fun trying to spy on me if she wants"

"Ah. Yes." a small smile finds its way to his lips "Yes, she will."

"I figgurre I owe her some fun for all the help she gives me. She'll succed, eventually, Fiona showoff trying to hide from a master slueth sluagh? Not a contest, but.. if I'm really good I might at least make a game of it for her"

"She, ah...." August glances around, knowing it's useless unless she wishes to be seen. "....she believes you're planning something." he murmurs.

"Well, I am" A smile "And I think I know Zara well enough to know that if I'm going to plan an adventure using her books, I've positively sent an invitation for her to ..ah, inquire in her way. She's polite enough not to snoop on my love life, so I'm okay with the rest being fair game. She's always been nice to me evenn if we couldn't be much more different"

"An adventure?"

"Something in the works" She admits

"Ah. I wish you well in the endeavour." he says politely.

"Thank you, I hope it will be productive"

"And how goes it for you?"

"Oh, very well."

"I'm muddling through." he adds "Keeping up on my studies. And there's the bannerhouse; we've made progress."

"I know. I got some help with one of your Banner housemates. They do good work"

A proud smile. "Thank you."

A smile "You're welcome, though it's merely the truth. " She smiles and brushes his lapels "Got plans for the 4th or just lazy day?"

"Just church, I think."

"Well, may it be a lovely mass" She kisses him gently

He accepts the kiss and she can feel it returned. "I have found Mass to return as much as you bring to it."

"Then, it's going to be a wonderful mass, because you are a good man" She pats him on the chest

"Thank you. Ah, actually, I've been already. As far as I know we haven't any other plans. Coradel had to visit her parents, make an appearance. I offered to go but...."

"Oh...well, shows my sense of timing. " She laughs, "Want lunch? "

"If you like, is it that late?" he seems surprised.

"I may have gotten caught up in my notes."

"You? NO.. never" A smile

August grins self-consciously; he knows.

"Go get dressed. I've a reservation at a restaurant. I can make it for two. Hope you don't mind if I muse while we eat?"

"No, not at all. I'd... I'd be honored to be present. Suit and tie?"

"Don'tt have to be, but it would be nice" She smiles

"It would be. I'll meet you in the foyer?"

"That's perfect"

August nods and heads away to dress, and will wait in the foyer for her.

Soon enough she shows up, in a lovely summerr dress

"You look lovely." He kisses her hand.

"Shall I drive?"
