Well, between that drinnk and that book, Zara may have reason to be blushin now. She seems to have one right back to the seelie point she started.

She seems set to mitigate those feelings by dressing with utmost decorum today... the high lace collar of her blouse and neat braid and button-up boots.. yes, proper.

And yes, there's Leonora.. "Hi, Z, how is it going?"

Oh lord, the Fionna saw her in the bar

"Ah." A beat. "Ah, hello, Miss Leonora. How is Thistlesnort?"

"Dandy, thanks. HOw are you? Loved the oufit you were wearing. Really daring"

She touches the broach at her throat. "Thank you. I am well?"

"You seem well, yes, everything okay?"

"Oh, aye! Very well."

"Fair, I was wonndering if I could get your help on a book?"

She seems curious to ask more about Zara, but senses the lady doesn't want much made of it

"Oh, but of course!"

"Great. What do you have on Germanic history, please? Middle ages?" She follows "I'm looking for some clues to somethingg"

"Oh, some... do you read German? What aspects of their history? A little context, I could help more..." Leading Leo towards the library.

"I speak very litle... like barely conversational... and I am looking for rare stories of warrior woman"

"Does Germany have ANY Thing like that? " She seems curious

Only Zara hears the soft, familiar footsteps in the hall, approaching.

"German warrior women? Oh, certainly!"

"Fantastic." A smile "I figgure it would be like.. nordic style times but ..."

"Now, there is overlap between Germanic stories, and those of the Norse - but, say, there's Brunhilde... aye, she of the horned helmet, but Wagner did indulge so..."

"But of course, the Norse are Germanic..."

"Goths and Saxons and all of those wandering barbarian tribes..." An elegant gesture.

"OF course..." Amused "I'm sure some trolls would say 'Nien'"

She looks over the books suggested

The library door opens and shuts while the ladies are in the stacks.

"So... warrior women of the german middle ages... " Plucking out a few options.

Leonora looks over "Hi, August"

He looks up from the textbook he's carrying. "Hm? Ah. Oh, hello Leonora." with a smile.

Zara smiles shyly and waves.

"And hello Zara." with a matching shyness and warm smile.

"What brings you in, August?" Leonora smiles

"I found this references in one of my textbooks but it bothers me so I wanted to see if I could find corroboration. There's a piece of mortal case law...."

"You two talk, I've got some books about early germanic warrior women to sort through" The Fiona grins and sorts

".... fascinating because the implications could be .... be.... -beyond- far reaching in terms of precedent but it's never been explored to that extent and...."

"So... fae law?"

"That would be... well, thou knowest the shelf..." She drifts that way.

"No, mortal law, it was in one of my textbooks."

"We have fewer of those..." A little brow furrow.

Leonora focuses on the book she was shownn, but smiles Geek speak

"I know, and that's ok. If I can't find anything I'll check the college library and such." he flashes a smile "I wanted to check here first."

"Aye." A smile back.

"Oh! The Lewis!"

"The.....??"

"One of my new acquisitions..."

She flits off to fetch it!

It is easy, perhaps, to see that she is the sister of a moth.

He watches her go, and follows.

She takes the book down - it's a hardcover, bound with green leather and silver gilt.

August steps to her side.

"You should see the illustrations..." She offers it to him. It's an evidently rare edition of The Silver Chair and has Puddleglum on the cover.
