Time passes and August finds himself indoors, practicing his combat skills. He has improved over the years!

Coradel notices this as she passes by the practice salle...and the retraces her steps to watch a bit more, appreciation on her features.

He is focused, intent on his form; she can see him make minor adjustments as he catches them.

She comes a little bit closer, leaning on the side of the door frame, and folds her arms, just...watching. A little smile.

He finishes the form and comes off-guard. He grabs a towel and wipes his face.

"Not bad," she says softly.

He turns and looks. And smiles. "Hello." He approaches. "And thank you. Practice makes perfect."

"It certainly makes for good viewing." She meets him and puts her hands on his shoulders, giving a little squeeze.

He returns that with a kiss. "It is a pleasure to see you. How has your day been?"

"Well, a ride earlier, and checking in with Delores. I understand that Zara has bequeathed her former room to Squire Velvet?"

August nods. "So I believe."

"I like that," she says with a smile. "A continuity of sluagh librarians. It's fitting."

"Zara's not leaving the library, though?" asking.

"No, of course not, not that I know of anyway. But just the sense of it. It feels very...orderly, somehow. Which feels very Zara," she laughs slightly. "And you? Besides your practice, what else have you been up to so far today?"

"Church, managed some correspondence, worked with Benny a bit. This practice."

"How is Benny doing?"

"He is well. We've found a living arrangement for him that protects him but allows him to learn and grow."

"He maintains his Sight, which is interesting."

"Good. It's so tricky with kinain."

"Yes."

"Do you have plans this evening?"

"Not yet." A smile. "What did you have in mind?"

"We could have dinner together?"

"Oh, you scandalous lothario," she teases dryly. Then she smiles. "Yes, absolutely. And maybe I can get our troubadours to give us a bit of music for dancing."

"I'm sure they would."

"For now, though..." She slips easily past him and towards the practice weapons. "Need a sparring partner?"

He smiles. "I'd be honored."

And if August is willing, she playfully engages him in a bit of swordplay.

Willing, he is.

Earth Runes is bustling. And August is cleaning up after Coradel has gone to do a few things. He sees Temerity rushing towards him looking alarmed

If Temerity is in the shower with him they BOTH look alarmed!

FOrtunately NOT a shower situation...

Whew!

"Dame, is something the matter?"

"My lord.. Dame Jennete, she and I were about to spear each other through the chests when she began rambling"

THe knight takes her lieges hand and starts to move him along towards the jousting area

"Rambling? That's not like..... take me to her."

((Flip those.....))

August moves quickly.

and off they go...

Jeanette is on the grass.. a confused duo of horses nearby. Her head is tossing and turning as she is speaking as if in a nightmare

"Dame, can you get Ludmilla and Healer Emma, please."

"Dame Jeanette? It's August. Can you respond?"

"Rising .. rising....they're breaking through... " The beaumayn moans, even as Temerity is on her way to get Emma

August repeats her words. He gently takes her hand to hold it.

"Sacre bleu!" Emma collects herbs!

Temerity says "Exactly... she's exploding!"

"You can NOT close the gates, the gates are rising"
