She can tell "time maybe our best. Magnus is already doing much the same. And I've requested a specialist"

"Can the hold help support this specialist?"

"It already does. Shalimar IS jester" a smile "And jesters are supposed to help with morale"

"Ah." August gets it. "Good. Thank you for your time, Missus Bonnie. I came here to give a token from Chief Clem for Adam into the caretaking of those here until he gets back. I gave it to Mrs. Thomas at her request. She said she would give it to you. I thought you should know."

"Oh I appreciate that. Moody as she's feeling she might flush it" A look to the door "I best get inside"

"Yes, ma'am." August offers his hand as he steps aside out of her way.

She takes it and gives it a squeeze and pat

He squeezes back very gently.

And she moves on to help Brenda, in more ways than one

August gets into the Prius and heads back to EarthRunes.

He comes in... enters the hall, and finds a measuring tape around his waist

His hands lift with alarm, his hips encircled. "Ah? Hello?"

Vashi checks "mm no weight gain.. good good"

the moth pooka then checks his shoulders

"Miss Vashti? Can I help you in some way?"

"Canivalhala awaits, brave soul"

"Ah, yes, I, ah.... I haven't decided on a costume yet."

"Oui" she says "And this makes it difficult, Sirrah, to prepare you for your fate"

"I must coordinate with Coradel." he points out.

"Mmm " A look "Open your mouth please, just in case the costume requires a bit"

His mouth -does- open, jaw dropping slightly "A bit??"

She checks his teeth "All good" She steps back "the baroness loves equestrionism. I must be prepared for all options"

"Aaahh...." August gathers himself "I will be sure to tell you promptly, when I know what my costume will be."

"Oh good. Because I would hate to find someone ELSE was handling the baronial outfit. I would be.. most disttressed" A territorial tone "My tears might form in chalk drawings for rivals" She smiles, curtseys and backs away

August continues in "As if there's anyone else I could go to?" he murmurs to himself.

Curiousity attacks his shoes, then the cat runs back to a corner

"Att! Hey...." August smiles and follows to see what Curiousity is up to.

Curiosity is being a cat.. and is now bored. So he is her stalked prey buddy

The usually so-serious lord plays the stalked prey, lingering unwisely, gazing off dangerously, and limping slightly as he meanders down the hallway. Slowly.

Oh she is.. estatic.. she lines up, butt wiggling when she thinks he doesn't 'notice'

Notice what?

The way dust motes dance in the light?

And she streaks, she is the dark death! TAG!

August 'startles' and lurches away; easy to catch, so clumsy!!

Oh he's running, he's running!

Chase pounce!

"Okay, this is adorable as hell" Leonora 's voice can be heard

August staggers, then turns and bends to offer his fingers.... and freezes.

He looks at Curiousity. "She's standing right behind me, isn't she?" he asks the cat.

Play nip means yes

August scoops the kitten up and straightens, turning. "Good evening." to Leonora.

Leonora chuckles "Oh look at you, Vince is going to be so jealous"

"I think Vince has prey mates enough without me." modestly.

"Doesn't mean he won't put up a fuss. You know what a glutton for attention he is" Leonora strokes the now purring kitten "how are you doing, August?"

"I'm well. Although you're the second person to ask that question of me in less than an hour. Is there something you're seeing that causes you to ask?"

"I know you worry about Coradel on Carnivale and it's coming soon."

A deep breath. "Ah. Yes. Well.... not as much that I worry about her; she can more than take care of herself. I just... dislike, I'm not comfortable, with some portions of the holiday."

A nod "Gambling boat not your thing?"
