Clem DeBuke wipes her feet before stepping in.

She looks around. The thane was polite enough, but he didn't know where Baron or Baroness was

She wanders the halls and looks about "I swear.. the gardens I got figured out, but the hall set up throws me off. Must be a lingering Eiluned infleunce"

Something moves in the hallways behind her... but does she notice it?

Apparently not, she might pause for a moment but can't tell that it's behind her whatever 'it is'

The Beast pads on feather-light paws, melting into the shadows of a doorway as she pauses. For all his bulk, he can move quietly at times... stalking this new Lady who has entered HIS Pridelands...

Clem says "Weird... this place is actually got me feeling on guard today. Come on, Clem, it's just a lil ole noble hold. Nothing an Iowan Girl can't handle"

Swish swish, his butt starts to wiggle....

Were Clem on the farm she'd never miss this. She'd know the sounds too well.

The movement of grain in nthe wind. The sounds of feet on the grass. Why she's chased of Coyotes

She peeks down another hallway "Mmn nope, no baron or baroness there either"

He cannot stand it any longer! HE POUNCES!

And he tackles... for about three seconds! Clem has a life time of cousin wrangling and troll boy whooping to prepare her for wrasslin and the like...

so the lion may find himself being picked up even as he 'lands' and twisted about, redirected, and unless he moves VERY quickly, Pinned! "The hell?"

THUMP, he gets spun around and pinned!

A door open in the hallway.

And she finds herself atop... Vince, in his man form, having perfected the art of transforming unseen mid-poounce.

"I.. Vince?"

"Why, Miss Clementine! I never knew you had a shine for me..." He blushes.

"Please, be gentle. I am but a blushing maid in thy arms..."

She finds herself blushing back "That is NOT what this is I..." But as she is 'on top' possibly straddling him, she ralizes what this looks like "Damn it Vince, I'm not even showing midriff" Apparently that means something

A glance to August, and he radiates innocence.

"Mmph you're not fooling anyone, you fabio haired Lothario" Clem removes herself and lets him go "Why on Earth did you decide to get frisky with me?"

"Ah. Sorry. I didn't realize....." he withdraws.

It is indeed the baron.

Also blushing.

"August, we're not DOING anything..." She winces

"What's got into that cat? Friskies!" He hums the jingle, and gives Clem a smile, a touch apologetic. "Once can take the Lion from the Jungle, but never the Jungle from the lion." He bows to her, and dusts off her jacket.

"I have..had a boyfriend" She fusses then looks over "August, you got a moment?"

"Shall I challenge him to one-on-one combat for the right to woo for thy delicate hand?"

He has meanwhile somehow finagled his arm around hers, and leads her into the door after August.

"Oh, yooo-hooo, my Liam..."

August pauses in the act of withdrawing. "Certainly, Chief."

"Yes, Vince, I'm here."he assures. "Have you spoke with GrandDame Bondraste?"

"Bad time on my part?" Clem says

Vince nods elegantly to August. "I ravished her late evening last, the lovely Grandame is far more spry than one would suspect. That is, she will spring back, not too quickly, but she Persists."

"No, not at all, Chief. Would you like to come in, or meet in a conference room or gallery? Have you had refreshment?"

Then he winces slightly and colors. "Ah. Thank you, Vince. I'm sure that.... will make sense to me shortly."

"Mighty kind of you... Vince can come to if he wants. I might want to keep an eye on him where I can see him" brow "Cause he feels all springy again." truth she didn't mind that much, but he could have gotten hurt doing that

"Refreshments? Un moment. My company is naught if not refreshing." And he swishes off to find someone to help snacktify the Chief and Baron.

August opens his study door fully, and leaves it that way, for the Chief to enter.

Clem enters "Wanted to thank Earth Runes again for letting us use some of it's students earlier during the texas freeze"

"Ah. Well, I know Coradel was happy to accomodate. Would you like me to see if she can see you?"

"Well no need I guess, just happy to talk to one of you seeingg as your married I figure you'll tell her. I do have a gift of thanks for both Adam and Alanza, and hope Cygnia is doing well here"

"Ah."

August gestures for her to take a seat, although there's no troll furniture here. There's a cot, and a desk.....

"I can see if Alanza is available to join us if you wish to present it yourself. Cygnia seems to be recovering well, although I can find out details if you wish."

"Adam has gone on a quest."

She takes a seat on the floor, seeming used to it "A quest? Huh, grass does not grow under that boy does it?" At the enws of Cygnia "I'm glad. She and her sister had quite the scare. As for Alanza, I'll just drop her gift off to one of the staff to pass on I suppose."

"If you wish, I'm happy to take it and see it presented." the gentle lord offers.
