While making sure each is available ... August gets something tugging at his leg or rather, someone.

He looks down.

There is an Eshu childling, a boy he does not know, swathed in a little turban wrapped about his noggin, blue loose garments, and a face mask. He does not speak, at least not with his mouth, but his hands move excitedly in what August might recognize as American sign language

Of course, if August doesn't speak sign, there's a possible problem

The young baron pats his pockets and finds a notepad and pen. Of course.

The boy takes the pen from his hand and writes one word

And then looks down the street in the presumed direction of same

"Where?!?!"

He grabs the sidhe's hand and starts that way

August blurts, then writes it and shows the boy even as August himself looks, and then is led.

Off they go!

August has almost a SENSE For these things.. he can feel the violation even before he hears the attempt to destroy

A fifty year old man, and two wilder teenagers working him... "You been unemployed how long? Like a month? And NOW You're evicted? Shit man.. I'd just kill myself"

He tries to take the front, to protect the boy, as they close in. Two. Wilders, and their kiths?

"Yeah.. totally just.. " The other wilder says making a gun gesture "POP. If you don't have it together by 30, you're fucked in this world"

A redcap and a satyr

"Thanks.. thanks for your opinion" the fifty year old man lugs what's left of his property into the truck, straining his back. But the glamour is sliding out of him... drawn out by the use of despair

Lil guy POINTS at the two wilders who August does not recognize

August approaches, serenely confident and Sidhe. "I think you two have business elsewhere. If not, I can provide you with some. Leave, and do not come back."

They turn... the redcap looks more defiant, the satyr pales

"Sir, allow me to assist you?" he asks the 50 year old ((whom the player REFUSES to consider OLD....)).

But it does throw off thier ravaging, and the satyr says "Come on, Razer.. let's go." And starts to move

"you pussy" The cap says, but now that odds are even, he goes too

The Eshu makes some hand gestures that August does not understand (In ASL- Yeah, you BETTER Run!)

And the young sikh flexes on top of itt

"Razer." August says, to ensure THEY know HE heard it. "And your friend's name?"

The two wilders are already leaving unless blocked

And the man, who is fifty years YOUNG, says "THanks, they were just hassling me." Trying to put a brave face on it. No one gives a shit if a fifty year old man is moved to tears, it just gets laughed at in this world and he knows better, "I could use a little help. This pick up isn't one of the bigger models"

"I have a car if that would help, and Icould call some friends."

August looks down at the eshu. "Thank you. I'd like to speak with you a little more, if you can wait? I know a donut shop around the corner....."

He taps his ears and shrugs

August nods and writes down the offer, then helps the mortal move.

He tries to unobtrusively pick up clues as to the man's talents as he does.

The mortal says "Thanks by the way, I'll take all the aid I can get. I'm Leo." he does not look like the Leo AUGUST knows, but he's got a good face now that worry crosses it a bit less

the boy writes Donuts ? I can wait for donuts

August gives the boy a thumbs up.

That gesture is returned and the boy moves to the donut shop to wait

"Pleasure to meet you, Leo. I'm August." he offers a distant fist-bump and tucks a $10 into the eshu's hand as he goes. "Get some ready for me, ok?"

"Leo, would you care to join us for donuts?" Politely.

"No sorry. I can't.. I got get this pick up off the area in an hour or they fine me for non residental parking"

"Could move it to the donut shop as a paying customer." August offers.

"I like the way you think, August. You know? I always believed a man stood on his own two feet and didn't take charity. But hell.. it's donuts. Sure."

They load the truck and get the vehicle to the Donut shop. The pick up is stuffed high with second rate furniture and boxes o f his posessions as they joy the boy in a corner booth

"Don't think of it as charity; think of it as fellowship!" August encourages, and soon they are in the warm, cofffee-and-pastry-scented shop.

August does make a point of noting what kind of posessions the man has; what helped him create the Glamour the Ravagers were after?

Well non dreamers can be ravaged too though less productively, but it turns out Leo is happy to talk about his work "Aboreal sculpting, which is a nice way to say tree and bush trimmer... I go out, keep trees from getting over grown and unhealthy, I can even sculpt bushes into shapes but not much call for that. But I know the science behind it, what helps peoples lawns and wood areas... you'd think that would mean something, but not in these times. Now lots of unemployed folks walking up to houses and BEGGING to work on the lawn or tree or whatever... and it doesn't matter that they don't know the science, or what is best for the soil or tree. THey're cheap, and desperate, and folks hire them instead of me. I Guess I can't blame them."

"Do you know I actually took botony college courses? " He laughs "Hello debt, though the rates for me were a lot lower than what your generation pays. My god you poor kids."
