"I don't know for sure. Look....." he takes a breath and tries to modulate.

"I hate this is happening and I'm angry at both of you and I'd do anything to fix it. Ok, maybe it's not on me to fix. Doesn't mean I don't want to. You guys have to work it out? Fine, ok. But if I can't be part of it, I don't want to be part of it. Make sense? Take care of Lily, she needs you, she's a kid. I'm not, I don't need you the same way. Figure it out, let me know."

His father looks at him, "Adam, it's not on you to fix...and, while your mother and I never want to hurt you, I am glad you told me you were angry at us. I kind of got the feeling from your behavior." He says "But son, your mom and I are not going to pretend you ceased existing. I am taking of Lily. I'm a pretty good father, and she's pretty together, but you cannot banish us until we've set our marriage to your satisfaction.. I love you, son, but you can't just make the parts of the world you don't like go away. Nor can you help a family hold together by taking out an essential part of it. You're going to see your mother around, she lives here too now. And you're going to have me visit. You're our son, we're your parents."

A shrug. "I'm gonna be angry."

"Well, I prefer honesty to the passive aggressive stuff. Still want to hit BK? I know you're not a kid anymore but you used to like that"

"Not really, no."

"Any place you prefer to eat at? Obviously you'll be angry while there"

"I had other plans."

"Oh? What were they?"

"Sex with Nab if she was around. Maybe sex with someone else if she wasn't."

"I can see why you might prefer that to Burger King"

Straight faced

"Yeah."

"I have a dog to take care of too."

"Your mother told me. Dumas right? How'd you get him?"

Adam starts to respond, stops, and says "Found him."

"Tried to find his family but couldn't so...."

"That was damn nice of you son, both trying to find his family and taking him in. Was this before or after Pennons?"

He frowns. "Before? I think."

"I heard you kicked some ass at Pennons." Yes, touch of pride

"I did ok."

"What competition?"

"Melee" ((Player blanks....))

"Good work. Nice. Glad you clocked a few heads"

He nods.

"How'd Samhain treat you?" He says "Over at rivervale they tend to hide from it"

"Don't remember."

"Lot of that going around. I think your sister terrified Ms Micgillicuddy but I can't prove it"

"All I know is she was buzzing wiht glamour.. Lily, not that mean old lady"

"Good."

"Lily and you both seem to take to the fae society very smoothly"

"You think?"

"Well, I hear good things from your mentors. Not so much at the farmhold school but eveen there you're improving..and really that's more like a mundane school with fae trappings"

A frown "I do hear you made teaching hard on your mother. Adam, she thinks you hate her guts."

"Still pretty angry." he reminds.

"Well, you might want to let her know it's Anger, and not hate"

"And that I'm angry at you too."

"Tell her that too" he nods

A shrug. "When I see her."

"Oh probably soon. She lives her too."

"Yeah, I know."

"Well, as angry as you are, I'd still like to thank you for taking a few minutes with me to talk. It was.. better to get somethings out in the open."

"If you say so."

"One day, when you're a man, you'll understand that if you love a woman, you don't yoke her to the role YOU want her to be..beyond the role of happy" And Kyle says "I'll see you next week" And he walks away

It's the next day Adam discovers that Knight Heart signals are still geting through to him. He missed this one. It's all the way back from day after Samhain

He checks it.

Looks like Vince called out for a pick up at a sorority house? But it got answered by some other guy

He walks along grimly with Dumas; dog needed the exercise.
