"Yes yes yes, patience, how long will THAT take to master?"

He chuckles at the witticism.

She blushes "Yes, Baron. Good if irksome advice. Thank you"

"You're welcome."

"Tell me, is one allowed to skip out on half of Samhaine?"

"No." With a regretful sigh.

"But all I want to do is the omens and then done" A frown "They're going to make me socialize aren't they?"

"No." Gently. "I myself will be sequestered most of the night. I expect I will make an appearance but....."

"Sequestered? But you're the Baroness' husband and consort. How is it you are sequestered most of the night?"

He is quiet a moment. "By my choice. I have work to accomplish that night."

"Work? On Samhain? " Curious eyes "What kind of work?"

"What sort of work do you think?" Steadily.

"Omens of your own?" Curious

"A personal project, certainly." He agrees.

She wrinkles her nose at that

August politely doesn't notice.

She sighs.

"Lady?"

"I may not be Eiluned, or perhaps I am, but Curiosity plagues me either way, Baron"

"My regrets. It is a personal matter." Gently.

"I respect that" She says

"And..... if it is any help or consolation on the evening of, remember that -you- will not change. We may prefer one Court or another, but we don't have multiple personalities. It may be something can be learned from that."

A curious look at taht too, then she dimples "We agree"

He nods gravely, taking a breath.

A blink "All seventeen of us"

A puzzled look, then he gets it and chuckles lightly.

"Thank you. " She says "if it turns out I have no title, I may seek to take Shallimar's job"

"You will not be left without resources, my lady." He assures her.

"That doesn't worry me so much I, well it worries me a little" She admits "But I have access to a bale, and knowledge in mentors and books accessible to me. That should do"

"It is a blessing to have one's needs met." He agrees.

"Thank you. Oh, I'm told that if I want caligraphy lessons I should come to you?"

"I have some skill with the pen. I would be honored to share it with you."

"Thank you. I should at least get proficient"

"A fine hand is a useful skill, I have found."

She nods"Yes, in our culture it might carry multiple meanings"

"I have not found so, but each experience is different." he allows gracefully.

"Oh? Mmm" She nods "I definitely need classes"

"We will set aside time; after Samhain?"

"Oh definitely AFTER" She agrees "And thank you, Baron" She gives a curtsy

He bows in return. "A pleasure, my lady."

And she withdraws

As does he.
