"I don't want to go."

"School IS a drudgery. But so is ignorance."

"I was doing ok on line!" he protests.

"Yeah. So can you tell them I'm ok please? Just... might some time? Later, for stress?"

"Yeah, sure." He glances at where his GrandrDame is. "Yeah."

"But not so okay at school."

A scowl on his handsome face. "Which school? Not that one."

"I liked skating by on line!" he confesses "It was just enough and I had enough left... my parents, right?"

The Grand Dame has been quiet, trying to be invisible

The boy positions himself so she can't see.

"Never mind. Whatever, fine. My stomach hurts and so does my head. I'm going."

Adam stands, nods in a mannerly fashion, and moves along.

"Adam!" The Grand Dame says

"Yes'm!"

"What are you... Adam, let her get you some medicine or something at least"

"Yes'm." He stands and wait.

Earl is talking to August. " I was thinking, for a Yule gift for Zara... any suggestions? "

"I....no. Not off the top of my head."

"I sometimes think I have run out of great ideas for her she's.. I want to give her the moon but I've already painted that"

"I regret I cannot help you."

"It's okay, August. " He says "Just wanting to get a few ideas.. mm how about Coradel? Any suggestions for what she likes?"

"Pardon?"

"Yule gift ideas for Coradel? " He says

"I wanted to get her one. She's been most kind, a friend even, if not as close as you are"

"She needs nothing..... perhaps some acknowledgment of her place?"

"I suppose I could do a painting of her. My artistry is a touch macabre for Fiona style."

"She enjoys it."
