"right...oh.. and maybe she gets scared when you SAY I love you... "the Elephant winks "But nothing preventing you from buying her flowers like you would for a girl you loved. Am I right?"

"Yeah." he grins "I try to do that kinda stuff."

"Good man... oh.. sorry about the hang over."

Something like a hammer blow on a GONG goes off in his head

and he wakes up, light.light burns

and he can hear EVERYTHING

Why are people yelling in the halls?

Why is the LIGHT so bright?

Adam rolls over to sleep.

"ROOM SERVICE!"

"That is no way to talk to the folks who work here, Adam" His mom's voice

"It's okay maam" The original voice

"F..... mom?"

"The maid and I came in the same time" Is it just him, or is his mom like WITCH SHRILL this morning? then again, everything is shrill right now

"I'LL COME BACK LATER!" The maid says

"mMMm" Adam snuggles down.

His mom says "ADAM.. I LOVE you, but I am SO tempted to quote LOUD Poetry about Liquors and overdoing yourself!"

"ffff....Mom...."

"I'll leave you be for now. Just don'ttell the maids to FUCK OFF just because YOU got a hang over, Adam Middle Name Thomas!"

And she stomps off on LOUD hooves

And Adam lays there feeling miserable. the sounds of others in the hallways, doing things, sometimes jolt him.. and he can't quite sleep, but he does doze. Jack told him he'd have an education about booze and his limits. This must be the ruler on the knuckles part

He cracks his lips and licks them. "Water?"

But theere's no one to ask

At least... for a.. he closes his eyes for just ten minutes, then opens them to find a glass of water nearby

He takes and drinks, like there is no tomorrow or other water ever.

"Nab........" when he breathes.

"Nab?" Seeking her in the bed, the sheets.

He doesn't find her. At least not at first

In stops and starts, and blindly, he searches.

"Hey, hey" Nab comes in "Feeling better?"

"Water?"

"You ok?"

"Oh you drank the glass your mother left. I'll get more" She turns

"I'm fine. Just thought you'd want to be alone to sleep off the hangover"
